Breakfast was normal, nothing to boast about. It has the usual hot, cold food to pick from.

Accommodation was spacious, exceptionally cleaned and filled with nice touches. The host Menija(?) was kind and gracious. Most of all in finding and posting back to me my lost tablet. Just to finish - location is at the foot of the Motovun hill. I heartily recommend Nena Guest House.

Nice host. The apartment was clean, bigger than I thought it will be and had everything we needed. Location near Motovun, just few minutes by car. We really enjoyed in night bath in jacuzzi.

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore.
A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

Great location in old town.
Great location in old town. Wonderful people and amazing views from the walls and restaurants. Wine and truffle country and free samples were almost too much. Lol
Tiny and hilly old stone streets within a walled city oozing with history.
Our host was gracious, laid back and a pleasure to just chat with.
We would highly recommend.

It's a spectacular location on a hilltop with amazing views all-round of mountainous country including vineyards & olive groves. Delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants at the very top, friendly people, tons of charm. Nearby are several vineyards & the local wines are very nice, and affordable. Easy day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Buzet & others.

This was my first time in Istria.
This was my first time in Istria. We checked out Kozlovic winery, we sampled their delicious wine and had a tour. View is spectacular. Had dinner in Motovun, tried gnocchi with truffles, very tasty! Pictures of the amazing views do not do it justice. Will definitely visit again!

Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria.
Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria. I really liked it. The prices at restaurants in general in comparison to offer are a bit limited. However we managed to find something for ourselves at the end. We missed bakeries. We did not find single one so we travelled to Pazin on our way back home and found amazing bakery.
Perhaps tourism board should create a special list with all possible places providing food and menu of same, all in one place saves from walking especially if one has slight walking disabilities.
Everything else is lovely and look forward returning to Istria
Terrific location if you plan to stay overnight in Motovun. Very quaint and rustic feeling apartment.
Restaurant Bristro Bar Montona Gallery was excellent and had a great view across the truffle forest. Service was best I have ever had and food was equally top notch. We ate at Mondo our first evening but liked the Bristo Bar better.
Our host provided easy parking behind the cemetery. Park there first and then walk up the street to the apartment to meet with the host.
Great apartment with a fantastic view. Special praise goes to the host who really made an effort with detailed advice about restaurants and sights in Motovun and the surrounding area. The apartment also has various useful books and tourist guides, as well as a gramophone and a collection of gramophone records that you can listen to.
It was perfect, like a dream place. Every detail was just perfect - general spirit, great furnished, lights, candles, coffee machine and millk in the fridge! Wine on the table. Music ♥️ View, place to drink coffee outside on the morning. Eco as well which is not common in Croatia.
Close to the center of Motovun & walkable to everything. Staff is super friendly & helpful. The breakfast in the morning is so wonderful and the ability to enjoy breakfast & sunset cocktails on the terrace is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.
Free parking was a nice perk.
Beautiful building in a wonderful location perched on top of Motovun in the centre of the village. Helpful with parking and shuttle service from car park to hotel. Hotel staff were kind to chill our own bottle of wine and have it on their beautiful terrace
A super location for a stay near Motovun. Nena is an exceptional host who kindly took our bikes in and locked them away in the garage. She took us to the village in her car which is a 25 min walk up the road. She also made us coffee and pastry breakfast.
Spacious well equipped character property with a nice balcony to watch the sunset from. Garden delightful to sit in. Steps up to Motovun just across the road. Barbara is a wonderful host.
Great location in the centre of Motovun , our room on the 1st floor had a wonderful , spacious view .Room was really large and comfortable ,the furniture is a bit dated .
Loved the property - the owner was wonderful. Just know that if you stay in Motovun (which you should) there is a LOT of walking - stairs, inclines, cobblestones, etc.
Rich breakfast buffet, comfy beds, excellent staff, great sauna. 15-minute walk to the old city centre, view from the hotel, restaurant and sauna is amazing.
