Not too far from ferry but still a slog to get to with luggage, particularly on the cobbled street. Room was a good size and clean. Courtyard area pretty for breakfast.

NIce island. No cars. Beaches easy to access. Plenty o decent restaurants
Sometimes Hydra Town gets a bit touristy mostly when the big passenger boats come in. The business goes when the passenger ships leave! Nice opportunities for walks outside town, beautiful environment. The town is clean and there are some small supermarkets to get supplies.

Pros: Clean, great food, many options, a lot to see.
Pros: Clean, great food, many options, a lot to see. Good for walking, has small horses and donkeys for transportation. No cars. Everything in walking distance.
Cons: many of the restaurants were not open (March 2024), while their websites said they were. Relevantly pricey. Ugly, monstrous yachts moored at the front of the little harbour. Expect tourists with an attitude - not very friendly.

Hydra is the sort of place where you can quite happily sit...
Hydra is the sort of place where you can quite happily sit at a cafe on the harbour side and do nothing apart from watch the boats and people come and go. It’s such a beautiful harbour. There’s a swimming area at the headland at one end of the harbour, where the rocks have been modelled to provide comfortable sitting and sunbathing, and where the water is an absolutely gorgeous colour. There are taxi boats to beaches further away, tho I didn’t use them.

Hydra is car free, which makes the stay so unique.
Hydra is car free, which makes the stay so unique. Villas and houses climb up from the port connected by narrow alleyway and stairs. Donkeys to haul your luggage to your rental if up on the hill. Water taxis to take you to other bays. Very relaxing place to stay at.
Gorgeous traditional property in the middle of town of Hydra. It was truly the best location to access all the best things Hydra offers: food, shopping, the port, super markets, pharmacies. Enjoy a good breakfast in their front terrace surrounded by the refreshing wind and shade of the trees. Our room was fully renovated with the newest amenities, super clean! The hotel employs the friendliest of staff willing to help you with anything!
Very nice and friendly staff! All information you need they are always prompt to help you. Location is excellent! The breakfast is delicious and you can have a unique atmosphere at the beautiful garden. If you want to have a special experience, combined with history, romanticism, luxury and tranquility in Hydra I highly recommend the Orloff Boutique Hotel.
The staff was fantastic friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with good air condition. The transparent shower area was easily covered with a curtain. We had access to a beautiful rooftop terrace with a fantastic view. The delicate breakfast was served at the terrace. This hotel was an important contribution to our lovely stay at Hydra.
the staff were so helpful with tips about where to eat. The history of the mansion is very interning, the gardens are lovely, and there’s lots of room to relax in the bottom level. Furnishings are perfect. it’s easy to find. The whole stay at Hotel Miranda on the island of Hydra is perfect!!
Room was great and the staff was always available to help and very friendly. The location was wonderful, but on Google and Apple Maps it appears closer to the port than it really is by quite a distance. Not the hotel's fault, but just a good thing to note if it can be changed.
We loved everything in Hydra Icons. Starting with Ioannis support and gentleness, and ending with a beautiful hotel, super comfortable room, with daily cleaning service, great views, an artistic touch and, cherry on top, the sweetest cat of the island - Gina.
2nd year in a row at Luxury Suites and best venue Close enough to main port area but just far enough away to have a quiet night sleep
The rooftop was perfect to host friends staying elsewhere for cocktail before heading out to one of many great restaurants
The very definition of hospitality.
This 4th Generation family run hotel, is a diamond in Hydra.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Freshly and stylishly decorated.Having visited other hotels on the island during our stay, we would definitely still choose the Mistral. Perfect hospitality from Jenny, Theo, Nicholas and Noah. See you all again in 2022.
This is such a charming little hotel. The rooms are small, yet thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage for a couple spending the weekend. Nice little balcony. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy walk from the ferry port.
Lovely little boutique hotel on Hydra. Our room was quiet, spacious, extremely clean& comfortable. Slept like a log here! Breakfast was on a lovely outdoor terrace and was very decent. A very pleasant and relaxing experience.
The hotel itself is beautiful, set in a former captain's home. It is close to everything in Hydra and very quiet. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The bed was great and the breakfast was ample and very good.
