We stayed only 1 night as we were attending a music event at The Plaza Theatre. We visited the Memorial Park and Abbey before looking around a some of the independent shops. The bar food was delicious in The White Horse and we had an excellent coffee and a panini in The Exchange.

A very quaint english market town. Historic pubs, excellent shopping options. Daily rotation of vendors in the market square selling everything from plants, vinyl records, clothes to fine baked goods and olives.
Beautiful at Christmas time. Take a day trip to Salisbury cathedral, home of the Magna Carta.

Location was beautiful. Door was left open for us on arrival with candles lit and Prosecco on ice. Hosts were opposite so nearby if needed. We were made to feel comfortable and were contacted in advance on how to find the accommodation as it is in a very rural and secluded location. The barn is cleaned and maintained to a high standard and every aspect is well kept with unique decor. We made the trip to visit Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park however this would serve as a great base to explore any of the big towns or cities nearby.
The staff were keen to please. The location suited us well for friends in West Wellow, and trips to Romsey & Salisbury. It was easy to find, plus there was plenty of free parking immediately adjacent to the hotel. The waitress service and bespoke cooked breakfast was welcome, even if the toast was served burnt!
When we raised the question of the shower door (see below), a shower in another room was made available, which was much appreciated. Mercifully, nobody spotted me running down the corridors in my pyjams!
The hotel is lovely, the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very attractive and the food is superb. Breakfast was lovely and the whole stay was very comfortable. The area was quiet and we had an excellent night's sleep. Overall it was good and we would visit again. Loved the hotel peacock and the little garden area exclusively with each room - that was a lovely touch. Never seen that before with a room.
We were self-catering so the breakfast question is not relevant.
The format of the question about transport did not allow me to give a correct reply. There were three of us of whom two travelled mainly by train and one travelled by car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were delighted with the property and its character. It also is a perfect location for access to the town. Romsey is also a great base for visits in this area.
Clean, modern en-suite room situated in a building adjacent to the pub. Room fairly basic, but comfortable bed/linens and nice towels. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast (an optional extra) - custom made to accommodate your preferences. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Excellent location with good access to local eateries. Ample parking and off road parking. The hostess is delightfully well informed and the decor reflects her exquisite tastes. We found it useful as jumping off point for our cruise from Southampton without the hassle of traffic. We would both recommend.
This is a quaint converted barn that has old world charm. The gardens are gorgeous. This was great place for us to work during the day and go visiting the countryside in the summer evenings and weekends. Stonehenge was about an hour drive away, Southampton 20 min drive.
Food was excellent especially the evening meals. Breakfast was great on one day, not so good on he 2nd day.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel as a whole was a brilliant place for us to bring our dog.
Excellent location as a base for exploring the New Forest.
Comfortable and clean rustic accommodation in a converted Granary barn. Two good size en-suite bedrooms, and a good size well equipped kitchen with t.v in an excellent location for visiting the New Forest, South Coast and the up the road from the Market town of Romsey.
Cute and comfortable hotel located slightly outside Romsey. Very nice room: lots of space and lovely bathroom. Lots of various supplies in the room. Excellent staff! Cosy bar and restaurant. Walk to Romsey is about 10 min. Easy to drive to and sufficient parking.
The room was really beautiful and clean. The staff were incedibly accomodating and friendly at the check-in desk. They stored my bag for me before I could check-in. The hotel itself is beautiful and utterly charming.
Very good location by the side of the river Test and a short walk into town. Good clean room with all expected facilities. Evening meal and breakfast were good as was the selection of cask beers.
It was a very beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. The food was excellent and the location right in the middle of town was excellent. Would definitely go again.
Good position for seeing the main towns such as Romsey Winchester and New Alresford.
Good vontinental breakfast.
Everywhere clean and tidy and welcoming hostess.
