Beautiful property. Room was comfortable. Lots of different activities around the hotel for entertainment. We enjoyed the game room and library. Dinner was fantastic. The pistachio chicken breast with haggis was my favorite meal throughout our whole stay in Scotland. Breakfast was also good with a nice variety. Wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff at the hotel were very attentive and always a pleasure to interact with. The breakfast was good but not spectacular but was very accommodating for my wife's gluten allergy. It was a short walk from the hotel to Portree which was great for exploring or grabbing a bite to eat.

Shona was so nice and met me as I drove up with smiles. She went over everything I would want to know about the stay. Shona totally stocked the fridge with fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and several other fruits. Cereals, yogarts, brie cheese, and many other items were also provided. The place was spotless and looked to have been newly refurbished. It was a little over five minutes walk to the town square. I could not have been happier with the stay.

The Distillery is a great option to stay while visiting the Highlands and going up north. It's a top choice to feel and breathe the nature while enjoying a very comfortable evening. It is a good idea to bring the car into the island if you can spare the time to tour around - just beware that you have to fit your schedule to the ferry timetables and it can be tricky on Sundays. Regarding meal options, also note that there could be no other options apart from the hotel ( we were here mid-May).

The location, walking, scenery is fantastic, distillery tour is interesting and whisky tasting is informative. Staff are friendly and informative.
The downstairs room (6) requires work, has no openable windows, no AC and has forced air ventilation which is noisy and can’t be switched off. Basin is set far too low for use and there is no hot water in the basin. No place to unpack clothes so if staying longer than one night, have to live out of your suitcase

Fab location, accommodation.
Fab location, accommodation. You need to make sure to plan your trip around the ferry times or you will not make it to the island. Great for all sorts of activities on the water and on the land. We biked it and although it was taxing (ver hilly) the views and wildlife spotting make it so worthwhile. We saw two golden eagles for example. 👍

We only stayed 1 night. We have arrived with the last ferry. After checking in, we had a drive on the island end-to-end. Spectacular and very beautiful (wild).
We didn't had dinner or breakfast (we left with the first ferry), so I can't speak for the food.

Raasay is like a rougher round the edges version of Skye.
Raasay is like a rougher round the edges version of Skye. Definitely more to explore than just the distillery. Some beautiful, but pretty hard going, walks / hikes with amazing views and hidden gems...like the tiny cave on the walk to Fladday. Get a good map and strong boots and enjoy.

Intended as a stop over before our ferry from Uig to Lochmaddy the following day, our short visit to Raasay House got our holiday off to a great start.
The friendly staff were very accommodating of a family travelling with a large dog! Everything about Raasay House had us wishing we had booked to stay for longer.
The 20 minute ferry crossing from Skye is well worth the spectacular views of the Cuillins of Skye from the lawn in front of the hotel and from the bar where we ate in the evening and the brasserie where we were served a delicious breakfast.
We LOVED it here! Such a gem! Fantastic facilities and rooms with great amenities. It’s a super special hotel as you’re not only staying at the distillery but there are only six rooms (currently). So it’s a wonderfully quiet/restful stay on a peaceful island…with whiskey! Also, pretty sure the chef is secretly Master Michelin chef. As most people leave the island on the last ferry, there was only us, the locals, and the Raasay crew at the bar-and talking to the people who stayed was a special memory for us. We’ll be back.
This hotel and area was our favorite part of our visit to Scotland! Raasay is a very nice small island with a wonderful view of Skye. We enjoyed the 5min walk to the distillery next door. They have a garden in the back open to guests and picked the best and sweetest strawberries and raspberries right off the vine. We did the bike hire and was nice exploring the island. The front yard boasts a wonderful view while sipping a coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening.
The Isle of Raasay distillery is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Between the beautiful accommodations, the wonderful spirits offered, and the fantastic staff, you won't be disappointed with your stay. This place is a must for anyone looking for great drinks and fantastic views. It's easy to walk to the Inn next door for dinner and makes the whole experience even more unique. We loved it!
This is a beautiful old building in a stunning location. From the restaurant you look out across the sound of Raasay to the Isle of Skye and the Cuillin Mountains. It would be rare indeed to find such a view. The staff are super friendly and obliging, and the facilities for outdoor pursuits are excellent, bikes to hire, boat trips on offer etc. The food was very good and service excellent.

The pistachio chicken breast with haggis was my favorite meal throughout our whole stay in Scotland. Breakfast was also good with a nice variety. Wonderful staff. Hotel is modern, new and beautifully decorated. The staff was very nice. I was impressed with the dinner because it was a fixed 6 meal course and all the dishes were worthy of a fine dining experience. They also gave me a tour to the distillery and explained the whiskey process. The tour is free/included with the stay.
I really loved my stay in this hotel.
Lovely building in fantastic location with awesome views of Skye.
Great views of skye from dining room but obviously these tables with views at breakfast are only available to certain guests !
It very much seems the management have limited experience in providing decent accommodation and service expected from this type of hotel.
The friendly and helpful staff, the plush accommodations, the large portion of delicious, fresh mussels at dinner, the view of Skye right out our bedroom window, the laid back and friendly atmosphere, the bathroom sink with one faucet handle for water temperature, the multiple outlets with USB slots in them.
This hotel stay was far above my expectations.
The room was immaculate, the views were stunning and it’s by far and away the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Also the staff were so friendly and as it’s owned by the island community I hope the business flourishes.
Fine old building in a lovely setting. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. I was traveling with two dogs; the hotel's claim to be dog - friendly was fully justified, but my bedroom was immaculately clean with no trace of any previous dog guests.
Isle of Raasay Distillery is situated conveniently close to the Ferry Terminal and within walking distance to the Raasay Hotel for dinner. Decor was Scandi/Scot trendy with fabulous attention to detail. Exceptional views across the water to Skye.
Amazing stay in Raasay, very welcoming and comfortable. Lovely room, Incredible view from the dining room, delicious breakfast. The tour of the distillery is also a must. Everything is lovely and the staff is attentive and caring.
We had a fantastic trip! We got upgraded to a balcony suite with amazing views across Skye. Great service all day and the food was exceptional. Nice surrounding area to go walking. Will be returning again :)
Everything! Beautiful island, stunning hotel, views to die for and a unique opportunity to stay in a Distillery doing great things. Felt like I'd discovered a gem, I'll be back as soon as I can!
We were staying when the hotel was closed and as a result got upgraded to the biggest suite. The relationship with the distillery worked well to provide meals for guests in the closed hotel.
Amazing views, wonderful staff. Hotel was newly remodeled and very clean. We loved the distillery tour that was included with our stay. Food was exceptional!
