Lovely quiet location, nice sized room, great bathroom (love the corner bath and TV in bathroom!) Interesting building and lovely, helpful people. Information in book in room was good and interesting to learn about Melksham and the building. Loved the fact was family run business that cares about the environment and tries to be sustainable. The room was as modern as you could expect in a listed building, Dinner was excellent Breakfast was good. The grounds offered enough paths to stretch your legs after dinner. The Bar served a good selection of drinks but was limited to bottled beer as draught beers were impractical due to the limitations of the buildings listed status. Overall would definately stay again in the future.

We were staying for our anniversary weekend. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and even took time out to answer questions about some of the buildings in the village and to recommend local areas to visit. We had a delicious cream tea when we first arrived - lovely warm scones and very fresh. We also had a lovely evening meal there. There was a lovely selection of food. To finish our visit we had a wonderful breakfast there too. All very nice and we would definitely stay again.
