This hotel has only been open a short while and they have everything spot on.... Exceptional!
Firstly EVERY member of staff we met were warm, engaging and genuine, made us feel so welcome. Continental breakfast to die for... Beautiful smoked salmon and cheeses, to pancakes and fresh fruit galore. Immaculately clean everywhere. Cosy room, very comfortable bed with little luxury touches. Beautifully decorated/plants throughout, in keeping with this magnificent building and surrounding countryside.
Will definitely be staying there again in the Spring and can highly recommend it.

We went to Conway for an Easter break with our 4 year old Grandchild. We also took our well behaved dog Harvey. We have travelled all over Europe with our dog and never had a problem taking him anywhere.
However most restaurants, pubs and shops in Conway we found would not allow dogs. Even the castle where we were unable to experience this main attraction with our grandchild and the staff being very dismissive when we asked. We were not allowed into the shoe shop!
Despite having a wonderful cottage to stay in, we will not be staying in Conway again and will inform other dog owners of this unfriendly side to the town.

Quiet at this time of year, (February) gets very busy in summer.
We found a good Indian restaurant, Spice Safai, only very small, but the food was very good.
Parking charges during the day are a bit high, not very welcoming for visitors, but they have you over a barrel!
The castle dominates the town and is quite something. We didn't visit it perhaps next time.
Lots of quirky shops etc.

Conwy is a beautiful medieval walled town and is a World Heritage Site. Conwy Castle is stunning and greets you as you drive over the bridge into Conwy, looking even more stunning when it is lit up at night. Plas Mawr can be found in the centre of the town. Also, a popular 1920's public house called The Albion. Fishing boats line the pretty quay, where you will also find the Smallest House and The Liverpool Arms, with a backdrop of Conwy Mountain. Conwy marina is just around the corner with a lovely pub/restaurant, The Mulberry, a stones throw from the golf club. Lots of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Great place to see in one go.
Great place to see in one go. The castle is nicely preserved and you have some excellent views from the top. The history is interesting as well. The city center is nice and walkable - lots of little shops to find gems in. Good restaurants/bistros as well. The marina is a good place to watch the birds, the crabs and the ships while eating some icecream!
Don't go in by car! If you come by car, stop at the parking outside of the city walls and walk in, otherwise, it can be difficult to find parking. Also, if you enjoy walking but a calm atmosphere, go earlier in the morning. It gets a little cramped with tourists by lunch.
Favorite place - a tiny shop selling welsh cheese 1 street over from the castle.
The hotel was lovely ,parking around the back.
Lovely garden to sit out on a nice night.
Breakfast absolutely lovely 10 out of 10 for different choices and cooked 👍
Room No 7 was beautiful , comfy big bed with sofa to sit near window looked out on to garden and across valley and mountains in distance. Lovely bathroom with shower over bath. Coffee tea biscuits milk also 2 wine glasses😊
Our hotel stay was in a quiet spot set back from the road but only a short 5mins walk into town , very convenient.
Breakfast was excellent with good quality produce, very thoughtfully put together.
Breakfast was delivered to rooms at requested time which made a relaxing start to the day.
The rooms were quirky and comfortable and relaxing. The hotel was very well located near buses, trains and opposite a car park. It had a pleasant outlook at the front, with views to the ancient castle walls.
Y Capel is a very high standard hotel with sizeable rooms at a very good rate. The finish of decoration and quality of furniture and fitting was very good indeed. The staff in the nearby Erskine Arms hotel, that this is an offshoot of, were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Location could not be much better right in the heart of town but also in a quiet(ish) side street.
An amazing hotel with excellent hosts. Graham and Delyth could not have been more accommodating and Charlie was a cutie! The room was large, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The views from our room were stunning. The breakfast were very generous and a sumptuous delight. Whenever we return to North Wales we will be staying at the Y Llew Coch hotel for sure!
The outside of the hotel is gorgeous! It really stands out among the buildings lining High Street! The room was beautifully decorated and also a very nice headboard. We enjoyed their breakfast two mornings, also.
We went to the Conwy Castle & Bodnant Gardens - both excellent!
Breakfast facilities were outstanding. The entire place was comfortable and inviting. The owner and the staff were helpful and accommodating to all of my needs while in Conwy. The room was very comfortable and i was very glad I chose this location, I would recommend it highly.
We had a lovely stay at this fantastic hotel recently reopened. The facilities are excellent and the staff very friendly and service minded. The location is also excellent to explore Snowdonia and the coastline of northern Wales. We would love to come back
This house is in the perfect location, within walking distance to all the main sights in Conwy. It was spotless and very well equipped with a nice garden and picnic table in the back. The price was right, too. Very good value.
The hotel is amazing! It was one of the best places we've stayed in Wales. The owners are so friendly, always willing to help. The breakfast was so tasty. 5 stars to the chef!
I can't recommend this hotel enough.
Good location overlooking the estuary at Conwy, with a view of Conwy Castle. Comfortable and spacious room. Good hotel restaurant - necessary, as the hotel is slightly away from other eating options.
It was a lovely older home and the room was very comfortable. The Conwy castle wall was just across the street and we enjoyed walking in to town for dinner and the sights.
Lovely place, lovely people, great location. Walk across the park into town, or straight on to the castle walls. Easy to find and park. Excellent breakfast and extras.
Excellent location. Very convenient for the town centre and the castle and as a base for touring the local area. Good standard of accomodation and equipment.
