This property in my own opinion is a little gem in the Lake District area that you need to visit,
The building is old but has lots of character very comfortable quiet room, four poster bed, bathroom was basic but everything worked fine, Dan on reception is very friendly and helpful and always there if you need assistance, we really enjoyed are short time here, the food is excellent one of the best breakfasts and meals we have had in a hotel for a while
Try the burger stack you won’t be disappointed 10 out of 10 for service and customer care, I wish more hotels could run like this one, they really do care about the people who stay here , it’s certainly worth a visit 👍

Cockermouth is a pretty town with many buildings of interest. Wordsworth's birthplace is there, but it is closed in winter. The rivers Cocker and Derwent flow through the town with banks of daffodils in spring. A terrific little town, great local shops, interesting Wordsworth Museum. Pic of us dressing up in Museum! Good town centre parking. Lots of pubs and places to eat. There's even a theatre. The whole place is old but very interestingly pictureque. We will make a habit of coming back

Broughton Craggs is a few miles from Cockermouth and well placed for the Northern fringe of the Lake District. I was walking some of the English Coast Path from Bowness on Solway to St Bees and the location was fine for doing that stretch in bits.

The kitchen and bathroom were all new and nicely kept. The host was really nice and friendly too. The place is set in lovely and peaceful countryside, yet very easy to get to from the main roads. It's also perfect for dogs, as our dog is reactive to sounds in hotels/b&b's etc but as the walls are so thick and it's so quiet, he slept through without barking.WALKERUnited Kingdom

Cockermouth (2 miles away) is a very pleasant town and a good shopping centre, and much quieter than the touristy towns such as Keswick. A lovely shower with plenty of hot water and space. The convenience of a dishwasher. Private parking right by the apartment. A genial host who could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
