Breakfast really lovely and served in a beautiful dining room. Good choice of cooked breakfast but for me the lovely plate of fruit served with yogurt and honey was my perfect start.
Loved the garden sitting there watching the dogs play and enjoying a cup of tea. Also appreciated the three lovely restaurants we were recommended and where we enjoyed our excellent evening meals.
Anna is a very special host who looked after us perfectly.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Beautiful place to visit, walk around, shop, eat and drink and enjoy the incredible architecture
Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
The location was perfect. It is very near the High Street (5 min walk), but is located on a quiet street. The back courtyard and garden is really lovely, especially at night. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night and thought it was good (3 out of 4 stars). Breakfast was in the same restaurant and was very good. The restaurant staff was very good. The room had all one would need: robes, hairdryer, clothes iron, tea & coffee service, desk.
This is a pub with only two guest rooms, not a high end fancy hotel, which suited us perfectly. Relaxed environment, large, private room with its own entrance, The Royal Oak is right in the centre of Burford but still really quiet. The staff were all cheerful and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional and served in the residents’ bar by the guy who cooked it: he was great, efficient, friendly and an English breakfast master chef!
The warmest staff, incredible location and a unique chance to stay in a piece of history. And the FOOD! The included breakfast was delicious, but thankfully they were able to squeeze us in for dinner because it was the best food of our 9 day Euro/UK trip. The rooms were clean and cozy as well. Would definitely book here again if ever back in the Cotswolds!
Great location for exploring the town and surrounding areas.
Parking is restricted in town but there is a decent sized free car park close to the hotel.
Phone signal is Burford is awful but the hotel has free wifi, as did most of the pubs visited.
Breakfasts were amazing and had a great variety of delicious options.
It was a lovely cottage, well furnished and stocked with tea, coffee etc was just minutes from the shops, pubs and restaurants.
The hosts were great even rang to say we could access the property early. We also had use of their lovely private garden.
Burford is a beautiful village with lots to see and do.
The room was quite comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was spacious with a strong shower. Bright room with good windows that really keep the sound out! We drove through Bourton-on-the-Water the day after we arrived and were extremely glad we had chosen to stay in Burford!! Much quieter and quainter.
I liked everything, the staff were extremely obliging and most importantly, on site. The room was well equipped and extremely clean. Bed was very comfortable.
But this is an excellent venue. Probably one of the best I've ever stayed at. Great breakfast on site with 20% off ..... Fantastic.
A lovely small intimate hotel, very near Burford high street. The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely. Also, the Angel has a really good atmosphere, log fire and lovely candles placed around. Very homely. Will definitely go there again.
The location was perfect - very close to the centre of Burford. The hotel was a very interesting old buildings. Staff were nice. It was a cheap offer so we got what we paid for I suppose. Hopefully they will have new mattresses in the refurb! We stayed September 2022.
Beautiful bed and breakfast a ten minute walk from Burford high street. We loved sitting on the patio and listening to all of the birds. Anna was a wonderful host and made a delicious breakfast. Great location to explore the all of the Cotswolds
The hotel and the room were really cool. We were in an attic space with handhewn 16th Century beams and a huge four-poster bed. The pub downstairs was a hot spot and other eating/drinking options were available in this remarkable historic town.
The hotel is in the center of Burford and is a beautiful ancient building. Poor timing on our part as the restaurant is closed for refurbishment. The menu looked great.
We would recommend the hotel, but not the top front attic room.
The hotel was lovely. Very welcoming and cosy . Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. Great location to some picturesque villages. Just a five minute walk in to Burford High street. Hopefully will return soon .
Superb hotel set in beautiful countryside. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, delicious food, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely walks in the area, peaceful countryside, yet close to quaint villages like Burford
The Hotel is located less than 5 minutes drive from the centre of Burford, making it easily accessible. The staff are welcoming and caring. The breakfast is very good. We were more than pleased with our room.
Hotel is on a river. Beautiful, spotless room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, new and soft towers. Dinner and breakfast are excellent. Love everything about this hotel. Staff are very nice.
