A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

Food options are varied, good old English, Italian, fine dining and tapas. The village is beautiful with many old properties that are well maintained. Pubs are oldy worldly and very busy at weekends. Plenty of good coffee shops. Paid Parking is available at either end of the village if staying over 1 hour so no problem parking. Village parking is restricted. Walking options are all around and many locals are happy to oblige if you need directions.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character.
Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character. We visited slightly out of season so was not too busy. Smiths is an amazing restaurant, specialising in gourmet burgers, you will not be disappointed! Lots of other independent shops selling a range of crafts, antiques and much more.

Beautiful village but extremely popular.
Beautiful village but extremely popular. Try and avoid visiting over a weekend if you can. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and there were so many people everywhere! And this was in October. Monday was much quieter but still people wandering around.
Much quieter in the evening once all the day trippers had left. Sunset was a great time to photograph the village with our the crowds.
Lots of eateries. Found the Wellington pub not as busy as the fancier looking places, but they did a very cheap and delicious Sunday roast lunch.
Bourton was a good base for us to see many other villages in the Cotswold area.

The bar staff were most helpful
I had hunters chicken for my meal
The chicken was fine but I found the sauce overpowering and far to sweet
My room was comfortable and I slept well...although it was a bit of a hike up to my room
Breakfast the following morning
was OK but a little over cooked
Also no parking at this hotel meant I had to walk back from the Royal British Legion car park
in Bourton on the Water and
Then again on my return in the morning....not a long distance but long enough after a journey
Broadlands Hotel was a fantastic base for the Cotswolds, we loved Bourton-on-the-Water and what it had to offer. We stayed in Room 3 which was small but had everything we needed for a 2-night stay. The hotel was nicely decorated and the lounge was lovely to spend time in. We were able to park easily behind the hotel and breakfast every morning was delicious and great to wake up to. Would highly recommend Broadlands as a base for anyone looking to do a Cotswolds trip!
This is by far the most excellent hotel/B&B in the Cotswolds. I could not fault anything! The historic building has been recently and tastefully renovated so you get that historic feel, but with all the creature comforts. The rooms were very clean with ample coffee and teas and towels.
The free breakfast was made to order and was absolutely delicious. Not usually I breakfast person but gobbled it down. The staff were all delightful. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Everything about this stay was amazing. The hosts were so attentive, friendly and kind. breakfast was perfect! And their two dogs were lovely. We also couldn’t of asked for a better location and PARKING! would 100% recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a few nights away right in the centre of Bourton on the water. They are also dog friendly and gave our Mimi lots of fuss! not everywhere accepts dogs so it was great that we could take her on holiday with us
The hotel was aesthetically pleasing and had lots of luxury touches in the room (dyson hairdryer, nice bath salts etc). The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly - they really helped us out when we had a problem with our room on the first night and rectified the issue brilliantly. The bath tub in the room was a lovely touch. The food in the restaurant was outstanding!
Excellent central location for both Bourton on the Water and the Cotswolds with the cottage well equipped, clean and with everything for a comfortable stay provided and included. The kitchen has everything needed with the the washing machine and drier in the laundry room along with good WiFi and tv system a welcome bonus.
Can't beat the location, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the free tour of the model town and breakfast was incredible. Couldn't ask for more. We'll definitely stay again if we're back over in Bourton on the Water.
Perfectly situated outside Bourton on the Water so quieter but only a short way away. Lovely staff especially Justine who looked after us very well. Stunning village. Great walks. Dog friendly.
The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance to all the attractions of Bourton on the water. The staff were great and the choice of breakfast and the quality was exceptional.
ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds - breakfast was very good at the Lansdowne next door - they also bring it round for you if you don’t want to leave the cottage which is such a good idea
Fabulous staff, hotel and location. Food at there Italian restaurant was also good and the breakfast was delicious. We have taken Chester the duke so he can accompany us on our travels.
