As usual, great place for a stopover.
As usual, great place for a stopover. Nice room, lovely view on the river, stars reflecting on the river. Great breakfast, check-in and check-out super smooth, free parking right in front of the door. Love this place!

We stopped here on the way back to the U.K.
We stopped here on the way back to the U.K. We just stayed overnight but we weren’t impressed with the area. It’s a bit run down. After a walk out in the morning to see the town we decided to abandon and move on to Metz which is very much nicer. I wouldn’t go back there.

The small town is very cute to walk through and it's beautifully situated next to the Moezel river. There are good restaurants (book in advance!) and beautiful historic buildings to visit, if you're able to look past some poorly maintained streets and houses.

The decoration inside is elegant and reflect the vibe and the spirit of the historical building. Besides that, I made a mistake in my reservation, but still the staff was very kind and agreed to modify my booking. The breakfast was good and for that price, it really worth it. Includes free enterence to a (temporary?) exposition of historical dresses. The halls and breakfast area give you an impression of how live in this abbaye must have been. Gardens with view on the Moesel river. A nice stop on the wayto the south.
