Its very expensive compared to other areas I have stayed, I wouldn't have stayed here if it wasn't for the cycling. You can get way better value else where. Its got everything you need, although was disappointed the gondola from the valley up, was running in the summer. would have expected this being a MTB resort in the summer.

Meribel - Mottaret is a great resort a little higher and smaller than Meribel. It’s ideal for families as has many ski-in out options. At Easter it was fairly quiet, no queues and plenty of Space. Weather was changeable but we had very good snow 3 /5 days. The restaurants are decent and there is a good supermarket. All very easy to navigate. ESF ski school recommended.

We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking.
We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking. While there are a few red and black trails, which favour a downhill bike, most trails and tracks are better suited with an enduro bike. If you don't mind a little bit of pushing uphill, it's fine either way.
Most "Bikepark" tracks are on the easier side suited well for beginners. Elite/pro tracks are harder to find, but those that exist are fun to ride with well built jumps and drops / obstacles. I wouldn't mind to have more of those though.
The enduro trails are panoramic and absolutely superb. The view from the mountains is just stunning. Descent is sometimes over 1000hm which is really amazing.
All three valleys can be accessed with chair lifts by a single ticket. The price is totally fair.
Summed up, for hardcore Bikepark riding an area like Chatel/Avoriaz/Morzine is probably a bit better, but for a good mixture of DH/Enduro Meribel and surrounding area is just perfect. Would bring both bikes next time though ;)

I have been to Meribel for a week's skiing before and had a great time. Now I visit often for just the day as we stay in Chamagny en vanoise which is just across the valley from Courcheval and has access to la Plagne, Champagny is a cute tradition French village and just feels like you're in France unlike some other ski resorts. From here we can ski La Plagne and Les Arcs or drive 20 mins to Courcheval to mix up the week a little.
The room had a fabulous view of the alps and we had a terrace so could walk out and listen to the buzz below where there were fire pits at night and an open spa/jacuzzi which you needed to book from 6pm for 1/2 hour time slots, during the day you joined others. A superb ski shop attached to the hotel with knowledgeable staff. All the days had theme nights - loved the sushi night. They have a good wine list (not inc) - definitely worth going half board as the food was really good. The bar staff were lots of fun!
The location of this property was excellent and we had easy access to the Meribel ski lifts. While there were a number of restaurants nearby, we mostly cooked and dined in the apartment since grocery shopping at 8 a Huit was conveniently located within the apartment complex. This apartment was warm, had abundant hot water, and a complete kitchen which made for a very pleasant stay. We could happily stay in this apartment when we return to Les Trois Vallees.
Excellent location, a minute to the ski room from the accommodation and a further minute to the slopes, a brief ski down and you're in the centre of Meribel Mottaret and the lifts which are much quieter in the morning than those in Meribel-Mottaret centre. Bus stop is nearby if you do want to go into Meribel. Using the door code on arrival was easy. The bathroom was lovely, nice hot water. A minute walk to the grocery store and ski hire shops.
The location of this hotel is unsurpassed. It's right on the slopes, a true ski in and out position. Good communication before we arrived. The head receptionist Rozabela is very amenable and helpful. Good choices for breakfast as long as staff remember to fill coffee and replenish food on offer.
There's a friendly bar, which once you get over the awful red and black interior is nice to be in. Barman makes a mean Margarita.
Hotel is honestly in the best location of the three valleys. we’ve been going there for 12 years and this is the second year at this hotel. it’s located right where all the restaurants are with a supermarket downstairs too. The best part is it is also right at the chairlifts and being in Mottaret means you’re connected the best to all the other valleys in the three valleys. it’s the easiest to get everywhere from.
Great location right on the piste. This village is the best if you want to visit the entire three valleys, though the home runs are quite hectic for nervous skiers. Staff speaks very good English and is very friendly. Check in time is rather late but you can leave luggage at the agency. The flat itself has everything you need to cook. Spacious and comfortable for two people (but would be packed for 4)
Locaton 10 mins walk from lift and Mottaret Centre was excellent.Apartment had everthing we needed in terms of ktichenware. We were 4 adults so there was plenty of space and privacy. Interior decor was charming such as old ice skates and skis on the wall added a finishing touch. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Seems like the owners reallly love to go there and take care of it.
Fantastic staff, incredibly accommodating. Lovely afternoon cake (would have been nice for water/hot drinks to have been included). Breakfast was fantastic - great range and you can take snacks for the slopes. Location is amazing (use the free bus to get to Meribel Centre). Comfortable beds. Great bathroom. Lovely balcony. Great spa facilities. Good food at the restaurants. Wonderful.
The hotel location is the best in Meribel. Everything is very close. The best is the escalators opposite from the hotel, that takes you directly to the slopes and La Chaudanne. Almost like ski-in ski-out.
It can be very noisy due to partying people, so it's not recommended for light sleepers. The rooms are of simple standard, but clean. You'll get value for the money.
Cosy and well furnished apartment in the centre of Mottaret.
1 minute walk from the free bus stop and local shop, 2 minutes to the ski lifts and main restaurants.
Warm and quiet with a big comfortable double bed.
Good variety of facilities available including coffee machine, hairdryer, etc.
Host was very engaged and friendly.
The location is arguably one of the best in Meribell. We were so pleasantly surprised. And the outdoor facilities (pool/spa/sauna/steam room) are epic and to a high quality. Best value for money hotel I have staying in a ski resort town. Even the breakfast was far more then the simple 'continental breakfast' advertised at book.
Location is awesome - real ski-in/ski-out, 1 min walk to the bus stop to go to Meribel center, 3 min walk to the shops in Mottaret. Food is great. Hot tub outside is a must during your stay. Very nice staff. New and spacious enough room with balcony.
Clean modern and comfortable. Just enough space for a family of 4. Great location with regular bus access into Méribel. Ski in/out also a good location with 150m walk to the piste. Loads of cookware, cutlery and provisions for eating/cooking in.
The location is unbeatable. Great ski-in/ski-out area just above the main lifts which take you up all directions of the valley. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us take all of our bags upstairs when we checked in.
Great location and facilities Ski and boot room allowed for easy access for ski in and out. All meals were value for money and staff very helpful. Excellent spot. Very effieicnt.
