An historic and vibrant town, chock-full of excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. Rarely have we seen so many establishments. Covid has closed some of the historic buildings and the Goya museum is shut for a year for major restoration. The tourist office was first-class, so helpful. Myriad shops of every kind in gorgeous little sidestreets, a wonderful covered market selling mouthwatering meats, charcuterie, cheese, spices, wine etc. and open every day. Because of bad weather, the medieval-style boat was moored up. We can't wait to go back.

A small pretty town by the river - easy to walk around. The market was great value and while out and about we met lots of friendly people. Castres is a bit off the tourist trail which we enjoyed. However there are limited attractions. The Goya museum would be of interest if you like religious paintings but the museum is not large. We went walking in the nearby Sidobre area where there are several walks to see unusual rock formations.
Overall an interesting small town to spend a few days.

The city centre - beautiful, with loads of surprise little squares and fountains everywhere. Lots of good eating places in Place Jean Jaures. A visit to the Goya Museum was very rewarding. Parking tip - park for free at the Bus Station (next to the Gare SNCF) and take a free bus into town.

A cute town with interesting history, and a lovely art museum of Spanish masterworks. Located close to Toulouse, but not really on tourist itineraries, so a nice quiet stopover if going to or from the Toulouse airport.

The city was a lovely surprise, historic properties and a nice relaxed feel.
Being on the edge of the Nature Reserve, it has many sites to see in surrounding towns and villages. Castres has many places to eat, especially away from the town square.
What an interesting little hotel. Every inch is fascinating and the hotel is a destination in itself. My room was modern with all amenities you could want or need. One entire wall with a mural of Venice (which bears some resemblance to the homes on the canal in Castres). I believe every room is different but I suspect equally charming. The service was great, I had trouble finding the hotel and they actually came out to find me when I was stuck down the street and didn’t know how to turn my car around :). Highly recommend a stay here!
The hotel is quite pretty, with an interior patio from which guests climb or ride the elevator to their rooms. The reception desk was almost always attended. Staff were generally very helpful . The room, on the 3rd floor, was spacious and pleasant with useful furniture and closet space. The bathroom was in the room, and it was well-kept. We chose not to purchase the breakfast, as there were many nearby cafe's and bakeries. The hotel is well-situated for any walking tour of Castres.
The room was fabulous as was the entire house and grounds. it was just outside Castres in a lovely quiet spot. The breakfast was fresh and perfect, with good coffee. The host was friends and relaxed as were the other guests. Sadly we didn’t book dinner as I hear it was great. We had wanted to go into Castres to see it, as we were only there one night. Highly recommend this stay. would be hard to beat.
The hotel was well placed and the Q-Park not far away. The room was ok, like the pictures on the web page showed. As we had not booked dinner in advance, it was impossible to have one at the hotel. However, the manager (?) proposed some ravioli to help us out. (A nice win-win gesture, although we had to wait a while.)
The person at the front desk was pleasant and helpful.
Close to both excellent walking routes, interesting towns like Castres and Albi with a good range of museums and simple to get the Aude with wonderful places like Lastours. Le Puit du Tresor restaurant in Lastours is not to be missed. Nicky was very friendly and we appreciated the little additional treats. Super U very close.
The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to museums, shops, and excellent restaurants. The hotel has a deal with several parking garages in the neighborhood with greatly reduced parking rates. The decor and ambient of the hotel adds to the charm of staying there. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful welcome from the lovely staff! We arrived at 9pm asked if we could have dinner and the hotel looked after us splendidly! Food was great, service was wonderful and the comfy bed just what we needed. Breakfast was plentiful!

Great hotel, great location, very clean and modern, beds very comfy, shower clean and good pressure, clean towels - everything you want from a hotel! The air con an absolute life saver as well! Would highly recommend.
Awesome staff that took promptly care of the problem and fixed us a better room. Said rooms were original and far from the typical, boring hotel.
Location is also one of the very best in town.
The owner was very nice and the apartment is a great find. Spacious, close to Castres Centre and fully equipped by everything what needs for a longer stay.
