Beautiful location, right in front of the lake. There's a restaurant downstairs, which unfortunately closes at 6pm. On the plus side, it is very quiet. Staff were helpful and breakfast was nice. Balcony is semi-private; it is shared with the rest of the guests (there are 4 rooms)
Once it gets dark, you can see that seagulls rest on the deck. Shortly before sunrise, they...well, seagulls being seagulls. The soundproofing of the room was amazing though. When the window is closed, you hear pretty much nothing.
The room itself is spacious. There is a small walk-in closet and there's a mini fridge inside.
Hotel Nordlicht is located 3 minutes walk from the center of Schwerin, close to the shore of the Pfaffenteich Lake.

Close to downtown Schwerin and the train station; a very nice 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment. We did not opt for breakfast, so cannot comment.
There is parking for your car if you are driving.

Incredible old building. You could feel the historic vibes. Room was HUGE with lots of space for lounging. It had an incredible tub and we had an amazing bubble bath. The mini bar was very affordable so we helped ourselves to it. The staff were welcoming and walked us up to our room to be let in. The keys were a little tricky but thats what you get with an old building and the staff helped me when I was having an issue. I wish we had gotten to stay here for more than one night but I was on tour so thats the life. Highly reccomended!!
