It is one of more modern style spas (100 years old only) in the Czechia and easy to access by train from Prague. Great for cycling, because it is mostly flat land and routes available along the rivers. There also historical landmarks from the time before the spa. Nice park and 8 freely available mineral springs (April-October). You can take a boat ride as a full trip or only one-way (to Nymburk and get back by train or to the merge of rivers Elbe and Cidlina). It is good for small children too, there are some fine playgrounds, but only two are near the historical part, rest is in the north of the town (across the railway). Other interesting spots for a trip (by a car) are available from here (for example Kutná Hora).

I found very little of interest (the castle museum was closed). It's just an ordinary town with a nice square. I ate in the Trattoria where the waitress spoke good English and where they serve a decent pizza and good grappa.

There is a bakery across the street for some fresh pastry and there are cats (and also turtles and a dog) in the backyard (window from the bedroom). They are usually quiet and cute to watch from the window. The bedroom window is equipped with a net against insects. Kitchen is equipped well, you shouldn't miss anything.MvekCzech Republic

The host was very kind and had put an effort to make everything feel like home. The apartment is very spacious, clean and has all the utilities you could need and more. Starting from dishes to even personal hygiene products, the apartment has everything necessary to ensure a comfortable stay. 11/10

Wellness facilities are located inside the hotel itself on the first and fourth floors. The pool, saunas and carbonated baths were excellent. The masseurs and bath attendants were friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. The breakfast bufet was also very good.
