This is such a wonderful hotel with amazing welcoming and helpful staff and wonderful food. It is such a stunning part of the world and Sabai absolutely showcases the splendors of the beach and jungle. Everything we needed we got, including a trip to the National Aviary which was magnificent. Everyone at Sabai was fantastic, helpful, bright and warm, and the property was just beautiful. The food was especially excellent.

Wow this location is AMAZING.
Wow this location is AMAZING. Truly it was a private beach all to ourselves… only one other couple there on our first night. The property only has 4 rooms total so you’re never going to have a bunch of people there. The staff were SO accommodating and patient with our lack of ability to speak Spanish. We only speak English, staff only spoke English but they always used translation making it very easy to communicate! I saw other reviews complaining about the food being overpriced and no hot water for the shower which seems silly to me after now experiencing how remote this place is! It was my toddlers first travel experience, and I was SO happy with the comfort Carey House offered. Is it a luxury hotel, no. But does it have everything you need on a remote beach location with PERFECT Carribean swimming and the best staff ever? Yes. We will be coming back!

I love how close the place is to nature, beach is amazing , the rustic cabanas are beautiful .The only thing I didn’t like it were the locals trying to sell their products in a way that can be annoying.

The only way to get from the arrival area to your hotel is to walk along the beach with your luggage or by boat. When the seas are ruff and there are no boats you must carry your luggage through the sand and water. Depending where your hotel is, that could be a mile. There is one tiny bodega on the beach to buy soda and beer and not much else. It’s best for a short stay.

Horrible place, instead of the sea breeze you'll enjoy exhaust from the dozens of motorboats and scooters cruising everywhere without any rules. They make a horrible noise all over the day, combined with loud music from each bar it caused a headache. Food and drinks are extremely expensive, we got poisoned by some food there being sick for 3 days.
Trash is everywhere behind the beach line.

Before 11 am and after 5 pm, it is beautiful.
Before 11 am and after 5 pm, it is beautiful. Between those hours, however, there are an overwhelming number of visitors and vendors. The water is full of so many people offering rides on jetskis, banana boats, tour boats, etc, that rather than smell the ocean air you smell gas. If you want peace and quiet you need to trek about 2 kms to the peaceful section of Playa Blanca.

Baru was a big surprise for us in all the right ways.
Baru was a big surprise for us in all the right ways.
Family of 3 with a 10 year old, stayed 6 days, 2 different hotels.
Beautiful white sandy beaches, turquoise colored waters and fresh sea food ( learn your prices and always check before accepting anything).
The family time spent there is unforgettable. The people are kind and respectful. The island is safe and after 4pm starts to calm down and at 7-8 pm it's quiet and peaceful.
Most people spent a day and leave, but i recommend you stay and do the activities. We did snorkeling and raccon as well as the Plancton (DO NOT MISS IT! ).

Nena beach resort AC, pool and beach beds.
The island was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were sparkling clean and looked amazing with great views of the ocean and pool! The all inclusive meals were out of this world everything tasted amazing and they had plenty of different options each night! The bartender at the pool was really great and friendly! The serving staff was incredible! Definitely will be coming back again!
One of the most exquisite experiences. Everything about the hotel was great - the views, the interior design, the personalized service, the food, the free activities.
Every bungalow had two bicycles so you can tour the place which is very big. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were in separate places so you got a taste of each place.
Staff was amazing, very attentive to details, always at our service!
the location is great, a bit far from the beach land entrance which is great cause the entrance is crowded during the day.
the hotel is great, great food and good value for money!
we loved it, much as gracias!
I have to give this review because people need to know some things before booking this place or any other place on Isla Baru because information is lacking on Booking.
For the good sides, I would say the view from sea view rooms and the fact that you are directly on the beach.
The food was really good and the staff was nice although not the best we’ve ever had. It’s great to have free kayaks and SUPs as well as the table tennis and beach volleyball. The hotel itself is nicely done, especially the restaurant area is well decorated and charming.
Top location, out of the most common and crowded fancy places in Baru. Quiet and relaxing. Swimming pool was really nice. Restaurant delicious. Day-trips to Rosario islands well organized from Casa Cordoba, really worthy. A place to recharge yourself.
Relaxing, beautiful location. Good food. Very accommodating staff. The entire staff took great care in being mindful of food allergies, helped us get cash when we ran out, and arranged both a tour of Rosario Islands and our travel back to Cartegena.
The perfect place for getting disconnected and having a relaxing time. The beach is only for the people in the hotel, with no vendors around. Very spacious and comfortable room with good taste in decoration, the required amenities.
The location is just perfect 15 minutes from Playa Blanca which make the stay more quiet.
Private beach.
The staff was very good and helpful.
Staff were always making sure that the hotel stays clean despite the sand.
We had an absolutely amazing time at Raw Koko Hotel, located in front of the Playa Blanca in Barú, offers an amazing ocean view. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.
The staff was attentive to every need we had, they were very kind and did their best to help us with whatever they could, even transported us back to the entrance and brought us back to Cartagena Terninal.
Hotel itself was decent for the area but the shower barely worked. the Whole playa is sketch for a gringo. Lots of hustling going on. Debit card was stolen on the boat ride. Not gringo friendly, stay away
The beach was gorgeous. I loved that the hotel didn't have that many rooms, so it felt like we were in a private beach, just for ourselves. The rooms were not super modern but comfortable enough.
The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The staff was wonderful. The food was exceptional. I would definitely come back with my girlfriend for a getaway. Also the dogs are great especially Tango
Beautiful location and liked that it is a smaller hotel. the rooms were a good size and very clean and the facilities were easy to navigate. the breakfast was amazing!
The hotel and pool area were stunning. I loved the shower, it’s nice to have a small beach that you can access and the food portions were lovely, and huge!
