We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and it was definitely the best place we stayed at for our ten day trip!

Situated just outside of Hakalau, 20 km from Hilo, Mahana House Country Inn is a non-smoking property and features ocean views, free WiFi access, and free private parking. The setting is amazing. We stayed in one of the cottages and watch the sunrise in the morning from our lanai. At night one only hears the birds and the quiet. We also had fresh picked oranges and longan fruit as well as avocados from the orchards on the property. Location is good for exploring the east side of Hawaii Island including Waipo Valley, several waterfalls (don't miss Akaka falls) Hilo and the volcano.

The room was big and comfortable, super clean. In front of it there was a lovely lanai. We enjoyed it in the evening and we had breakfast there in the morning. Huge backyard that goes all the way to the river. Breakfast was super, varied and delicious! Thank you!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the sea, Hawaiian Ohana Home is situated in Hilo in the The Big Island Region, 2.9 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo. Free private parking is available on site. Located near everything, especially my local family. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and very reasonable price. The host, Diana and her niece Michelle were very welcoming and they offered home-grown, fresh fruits everytime.

They are a lovely family. Also gave us a quick farm tour on our request. Rick is an amazing chef so don’t miss your breakfast here (I believe most of the ingredients come from their farm). It was nice chatting with him, he will give you good recommendations in the town. Rent a car to get around and carry a few warm clothing as it got a little cold here at night and early mornings in February.

Hale-Hoola B & B is located in Captain Cook. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a seating area. Fantastic, geat hosts, very helpful.
