We came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela. The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home. Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean. She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us. We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.

A great stay, you would not believe how good can a night stay be. Newly furnished room very clean and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful, and finally, a delicious breakfast served with a good atmosphere.

A lovely B&B in Manteigas, in the middle of the amazing Serra da Estrela, managed by two fantastic hosts. Daniela and Paulo love what they are doing and gave us a lot of useful information and tips on the places to visit and the trails to follow during our stay. The room was just perfect, with a stunning view on the mountains and a delicious homemade breakfast that gave us a perfect start of the day. Casa Mariolas is definitely worth the visit! We look forward to visit them again very soon.

Casa do Telheiro ligger i Sabugueiro, inom 20 km från Parque Natural Serra da Estrela och 44 km från Praia de Mangualde konstgjorda strand, och erbjuder boende med en terrass och gratis WiFi i alla... We loved the place. Joana was very nice and helpful, she gave us many suggestions about places we could visit and have a nice chat with us. Everything was clean and tidy. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. The place is very quiet and we had a really peaceful and relaxing experience

Casa da Ribeirinha erbjuder boende i Sabugueiro, 20 km från Parque Natural Serra da Estrela och 44 km från Praia de Mangualde konstgjorda strand. The house is very well located, clean and well maintained. The staff is great at accomodating our needs.

Casa D'Avenida ligger i Manteigas centrum och är ett nyrenoverat familjehus som ligger i naturparken Serra da Estrela. The room had a comfy bed and a nice little balcony with mountain view (due to very bad weather we couldn't use it, unfortunately). Downstairs there is a nice seating area with an oven which we used to get dry and warm up after some very rainy hikes. The guest house is located right at the little stream flowing through Manteigas, so restaurants and shops are right around the corner. (We recommend Infusao, just a couple of steps up the stream from the guest house.) The breakfast was amazing and very extensive, even when only us two were left at the hotel. Best thing: we could pack bread etc for lunch, tea and coffee were always available downstairs, as was the amazing home-made cake. We were looking forward to this after every hike.

The rural location was perfect for my stay. Only just of the main highway...but enough for a very quiet stay.
