We loved the little extra’s for breakfast and cookies. The owner is accommodation and nice to chat with. Great quality for the price. Would definitely stay again!

Offering garden views, Pepper Tree Villa in Masterton offers accommodation, a shared lounge, a garden and a terrace. Great friendly service with excellent facilities. The bathroom was tastefully modernised and the shower was EPIC! My hosts were great and clearly had done a lot of travel as they have ensured quality and comfort, every step of the way. I felt like a king with the beautiful breakfast I have cooked for me and a lovely outlook from the dining area. And very importantly for me as a frequent traveller . . . the bed. Absolutely amazing nights sleep. Plenty of pillows (mix of firm and soft to select from), a wonderful bed!!!

Reasonable stroll to the main square of town where there are many restaurants and a grocery store. Wineries are plentiful and close by and the area is flat so taking one of the Swan House loaner bikes is a nice way to explore. There is also a pedi-cab rental in the center of town. Exceptionally clean! Quiet for sleeping. Also very dark. Patio area is large and shared. “Double or Twin Room” (#3) is on the end and thus has lots of windows and only one shared wall. Owner’s welcome was genuine and appreciated. Continental breakfast included: coffee (instant or n espresso), teas (10 different varieties!), yogurt, cereal, toast (Honey, Marmite, Peanut Butter or 3 varieties of fruit jam), fruit cup, milk, and juice. It’s all in the room so you can eat what and when you want. No cooking facilities in the rooms but that was as expected/made clear in the listing. If saving money thru self-catering is your aim you can manage well enough with the provided continental breakfast, picnic lunch, and a take-away dinner.
