Mike is an amazing host and the property is peaceful, private and just what we needed. The hot tub was especially nice to return to in the evenings!! Set in the Bay of Islands, Fantail River Lodge offers a garden. All rooms feature a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Rooms come with a balcony with views of the garden. The breakfast supplies were varied and ample. The surrounds of the gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed strolling around them. The host was very friendly and helpful, providing information about good restaurants and things to do in the area. The accomodation was only a 5 minute drive to Paihia.

Beautiful surroundings, very comfy place to rest, close to town, easy traveling to activities and stunningly scenic destinations. Carla and Christian are wonderful hosts! We enjoyed every conversation at breakfast, all of the perfect travel tips, and the care with which they tended to us. Breakfast was yummy.
