I was very happy staying at the Lake Cabin. Everything was excellent. Waking up early to the sounds of birds, sitting on the balcony to watch the sunrise, eating breakfast, and watching fishermen on the lake. Perfect!!! I felt relaxed and enjoyed every minute.

Great hospitality. Convenient location in the middle of the city. Cleanliness was great. Best value for the money.

Large comfortable very clean room with view out over the paddy fields, where we saw peacocks and mongoose, but the best part was our wonderful hostess who went out of her way to please all her guests. The meals were delicious and abundant. Thank you.

Nice, simple and very clean homestay, close to the ancient city. Possibility to rent a bike. I stayed only one night. Ravi the owner is very kind, humble and helpful, he even showed me around the lake with bicycles. And he always finds the solution;-)

Pradeep is an amazing guest who is sharing tips, stories and kindness with you. His guesthouse is very well located, close to the temples. Rooms are clean!

Situated in Polonnaruwa, 27 km from Sigiriya, Udesh Guest features a spacious outdoor terrace, free internet access and free parking facilities. Cute garden and little private patio, serene atmosphere, good food and bike rental available (and recommended to see the ruins!). The owner and his wife were really accommodating, helpful and lovely!

Offering a restaurant, Clay Hut Village is located in Polonnaruwa. It is 1 km from the ancient ruins of the Polonnaruwa City and the famous Polonnaruwa Canal. This is a delightful place to stay. So many good aspects to consider: friendly and kind staff, delicious meals, quiet location not far from the sightseeing, ability to arrange excursions and onward journey, wildlife on property: monkeys, deer, birds…, laundry service, ability to call in craftsmen to display their wares. And the meals…they are soooo good. And..suggest you ask your host any questions you can think of about Sri Lanka…you will learn a lot from his straightforward answers.

Offering free bikes, Luxman Guest House is located at a 10-minute walk from the Polonnaruwa Railway Station. Free WiFi access is available. Lakshman is one of the best hosts I've ever met! Due to a train delay, I arrived at the guest house late on the day of check-in, but Lakshman was still very patient and waited for me. When visiting the Polonnaruwa Ancient City, he recommended a cost-effective and fantastic tuk-tuk driver. Before departing, he even picked lotus flowers from a pond for me to offer to sleep buddha! Lakshman's thoughtfulness made me have a great impression of Sri Lanka!
