I was very happy staying at the Lake Cabin. Everything was excellent. Waking up early to the sounds of birds, sitting on the balcony to watch the sunrise, eating breakfast, and watching fishermen on the lake. Perfect!!! I felt relaxed and enjoyed every minute.

Large comfortable very clean room with view out over the paddy fields, where we saw peacocks and mongoose, but the best part was our wonderful hostess who went out of her way to please all her guests. Ravi the owner is very kind, humble and helpful, he even showed me around the lake with bicycles. And he always finds the solution;-)

So many good aspects to consider: friendly and kind staff, delicious meals, quiet location not far from the sightseeing, ability to arrange excursions and onward journey, wildlife on property: monkeys, deer, birds…, laundry service, ability to call in craftsmen to display their wares. And the meals…they are soooo good. And..suggest you ask your host any questions you can think of about Sri Lanka…you will learn a lot from his straightforward answers.

Luxman is very enthusiastic and friendly, always patiently answering my questions about transportation, location, etc., and always attentive to my needs in terms of accommodation and eating. 3. I really like Polonnaruwa. If I have a chance in the future, I will come to this lovely town and Luxman Guest House again. 4. Hope everthing is fine.
