David and Elemis are very accommodating. We stayed on two separate occasions, the rooms are exceptionally clean. The location is perfect too in the heart of Zona Colonial. Offering quiet street views, casa maria is an accommodation set in La Romana, 8.1 km from Teeth of the Dog and 12 km from Dye Fore. Excellent place to stay. We used it to bridge the time between two cruises. Bus station to Santo Domingo in walking distance. Very clean place. Hot water in shower. Silent A/C. Spacy living room to meet other travellers. Very nice interior. Fantastic hosts, that were very friendly, exceptional helpful that let one feel really at home. We got pampered. Safe and quiet place to stay. French or Spanish knowledge is an advantage. Have not been to places like this that often.

Set in San Felipe de Puerto Plata and only 1.3 km from Long Beach, Gaia Residence Deluxe offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We looked for a place to stay for one night in Puerto Plata, and we found this gem, the photos are accurate, and we were surprised by how big our room was. The shower was very "high tech" with hot water. There was a nice little pool in the shared area. Breakfast was very good, and hosts were very accommodating. This is also one of the only places in the Dominican Republic where we had solid WiFi. There is a very large super market very close, and some restaurants nearby.

The accommodation has everything that you need for a really comfortable stay. The breakfast was awesome too and having the recommendations of the host was great in order to better plan our days.

Was a bliss staying with them. They picked us up from the airport and help to arrange a car. Place is really comfortable.

Set in Lucea in the Hanover region, Blue Paloma Bed & Breakfast has a patio. This bed and breakfast features a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. Our second stay at Blue Paloma, and the room, breakfasts and pool were as good as before. Andrea and her staff are welcoming and helpful, sometimes sharing the same breakfast table with guests.

Casa Mantana Bonaire in Kralendijk provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. Boasting free shuttle service, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Excellent location in good proximity to supermarkets and downtown. Nicely decorated spacious studio with beautiful terrace surrounded by well maintained tropical plants. Mid-week cleaning was a positive surprise. Hosts were welcoming and provided great insights for my daily activity planning. Good quality snorkelling equipment and airport transfer were also provided.
