Cathy is such a kind host and nothing is too big an ask. The rooms are equipped with everything you would need, water, shampoo, extra pillows etc. Cathy also provides tea, coffee and more in a self catering kitchen. Will definitely be retuning.

Bernadete was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Our daughter forgot her retainers in the room; after contacting Bernadette the next day, she was very quickly able to locate them and sent them to our country while refusing to get paid for the postage cost that I offered. Thank you for all your help, you have saved us a big headache! If we ever come to Ireland again, we will be happy to stay in the Dales again.

I stayed here with my wife and daughter for a short Christmas break. Woodleigh Lodge is a fantastic find for us. It is 5 Star quality. The owner of the B&B, Sue was incredibly nice and welcoming. The B&B is only a few minutes stroll from the lovely seaside village of Courtown as well as a 5 min drive from the center of Gorey. Our breakfast was cooked fresh to order. Honestly, this is the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in. We will definitely stay here again and are already planning a summer break.

First of all, I don’t think Jo’s purpose is to make gajillions of euros. For her, it’s more like a way to meet friends that she hasn’t met yet. Her faithful husband, Jim, (her love slave)… energetically helps serve guests with efficiency and a very sharp Irish wit (alongside strong Irish coffee). In the end, they both work very hard to welcome guests into their beautiful home, as a part of the family, along with ducks, chickens, and their adorable little dogs. My advice… this B&B is an exquisite emerald gem on an exquisite emerald island, hosted by wonderful friends that you haven’t met yet.

Brookvale se nachází ve Wellingtonbridge na silnici R733, pouhých 30 minut jízdy od Rosslare Europort, a nabízí 3 pokoje s bezplatným Wi-Fi a parkování zdarma. I was looking for dog-friendly overnight accommodation prior to taking a ferry from Rosslare and honestly couldn’t have chosen a nicer place within an easy 25 minute drive from the port. Human host Pauline and doggy host Penny couldn’t have been more welcoming. Whilst Penny was showing my dog around her garden and adjacent dog walk, Pauline revived my flagging spirits with complimentary tea and her own delicious carrot cake in her sunny haven of a patio upon arrival. Guest rooms and common areas are most beautifully decorated and furnished with gorgeous antique gems; entirely relaxing and never overwhelming. Clearly, a lot of love has gone into creating our large, dog-friendly Garden Room which was a real home away from home. There was fabulous bed linen, superior tea and coffee making facilities (incl. ground coffee for a cafetière and Pukka herbal teas) and lots of personal attention to detail. Sustainability is important to Brookville’s hosts as evidenced by mineral water in glass, not plastic bottles, triple glazing and solar heated water. My large en-suite shower room had lots of complimentary toiletries and, again, much thought has gone into this: there were great towels, a make-up mirror, even cotton buds and pads, and much more. Both rooms were spotless and, at the end of a very warm day, neither too warm not too cold. Breakfast at Brookvale is optional but highly recommended because the hot and cold menus are extensive. Portions are generous and the food is yummy. My only regret was, that I couldn’t do justice to Pauline’s offerings, despite my best efforts. Emphasis is placed on local produce wherever possible and the tableware is beautiful. In summary, we had a lovely albeit short stay, in lovely surrounds, cared for by the perfect hosts. If I could rate Brookvale higher than 10, I would.
