The owner (Ric) was very kind and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely rooms, very clean, felt safe, and instructions were very easy to follow. Mimi (the cat) is very gentle and sweet. She only has access to the kitchen and outside, unless you let her in to the rest of the house. Naturally, we loved her so we let her roam freely through the house (when there were no other guests around) and she even spent one of the nights with us! Honestly such a great stay and would so easily recommend and go back. For breakfast, you're a 3 minute walk from Proof Social Bakehouse (pricey but AMAZING pastries, check opening times on google maps), and 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to Abingdon or Oxford (about 15mins to get to either). We were looked after in the best possible way. We were not ready at all with the list of things to do in the area, but there were many different info leaflets available and a great visitors information book in the room. And a little surprise box of chocolates too! Wow!! Definitely would love to come back. The places around are so gorgeous. what a beautiful place to visit away from all hassle. The Old School, OX7 6RU is set in The Cotswolds, in the tiny village of Idbury amongst unspoilt countryside. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spotless and well serviced. The hostess was most pleasant and helpful.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices. The garden is well kept and we spent many happy hours there with drinks and cocktails, all served by the friendly staff. The room had a large very comfortable bed, plenty of tea and coffee facilities and powerful shower.
