This is a great way to end the day. Warm and welcoming hosts and superb accomodation. Amazing rooms and lounge and breakfast room. Home cooked locally sourced breakfast was superb.

Situated on the A68 and only 40 minutes' drive from Edinburgh, 90 minutes from Newcastle and within easy reach of all Scottish Border towns, the Lornebank Homestay offers guests a lounge area and... Friendly and warm host Margot welcomed us. The room was super-clean, spacious and well organised. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful breakfast served by host. Starting with juicy fruits, then tasty English breakfast. The best breakfast ever I had so happy to have smoked salmon in the morning! Margot gave us information of nearby restaurants before we arrived and also information of parking in Edinburgh before we left, which was really helpful. Thank you, Margot! We'd like to keep it a secret, but it's a really nice B&B and we highly recommend it.

Black Burn Lodge B&B has a selection of attractive bed and breakfast accommodation in the Scottish Borders, around 25 miles north of Carlisle. We can highly recommend this place. We enjoyed our time on and around the beautiful property. The host and hostess were exceptionally helpful and informative. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area near the river. If you are going to the Newcastleton area, this is where you should stay.

Set within 15 acres of rural woodland and gardens, this guest house is 1.5 miles from the centre of Jedburgh. Hundalee House has free WiFi and eggs from resident hens are served in the mornings. Very efficient friendly bed and breakfast. Lovely airy room, great breakfast. Beautiful gardens. Lovely walk up the back road past the Byrne into the top of Jedburgh by the old jail.

A large, 4-star modern house set on an elevated site in an acre of landscaped gardens, Glede Knowe Guest House has free Wi-Fi, an outside patio area and hearty Scottish breakfasts. The room was very nice and the breakfast was exceptional. Guy was an excellent host.

Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building. This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.
