Who wouldn't like to sleep at a castle? We had two perfect nights there and can definitely recommend it. Carol is a wonderful host, always helpful and attentive. The room - we had the Scott Suite - was immaculate, spacious and like a home from home. Fantastic breakfast - and the Port and Whisky were a nice touch, too. We'd love to come back.

Great (remote) location, deer farm, pheasants and horses all around and good walking. Lovely house great breakfast and welcoming friendly hosts.

Kirk Yetholm and the end of the Pennine Way. This is a great way to end the day. Warm and welcoming hosts and superb accomodation. Amazing rooms and lounge and breakfast room. Home cooked locally sourced breakfast was superb.

Situated in Jedburgh, the recently renovated Meadhon Guest House features accommodation 22 km from Melrose Abbey and 43 km from Etal Castle. Such a warm reception from Amanda and Rob, who were very accommodating and helpful with hints about what to see and do in the local area. Our room was set up beautifully and the added extra of and ironing board and iron was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. Amanda also cooked and served us a delicious Breakfast. The location was central to shops and attractions.

All sorts of little touches: bathrobes, slippers, fresh milk and a variety of hot drinks in the room. Large, cozy, freshly decorated impeccably cleaned room. The mattress was fairly soft and offered good support. Excellent breakfast. We could choose from an extensive breakfast menu the night before, and everything was served fresh, excellently cooked and exactly as ordered.

Beautiful house and grounds. The rooms and breakfast room had a lot of character, very special. Breakfast was excellent. The owners were available in interacting with the guests.

The staff was really kind and helpful. Beautiful and cozy room, amazing location and view. I would definitely stay again.
