Offering quiet street views, casa maria is an accommodation set in La Romana, 8.1 km from Teeth of the Dog and 12 km from Dye Fore. Honestly everything was great. Maria is so sweet and she runs the place herself. She makes breakfast every morning and makes getting around for the day easy, just ask and she'll call up a motocoach or car. It's on the upper floor of her house (separate entrance up the stairs) and there's three rooms that are a great size with modern bathrooms, fans and A/C. The shared area is spacious and gorgeous, with a full kitchen, dining table and a nook with comfy chairs by the windows. It's in a residential area with a colmado on the corner if you need a quick snack or drink. All in all I think this was my favorite place I stayed at while in DR, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in La Romana :). (Pics were taken after checkout but the linen and sheets were great as well!)

Set in San Felipe de Puerto Plata and only 1.3 km from Long Beach, Gaia Residence Deluxe offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We looked for a place to stay for one night in Puerto Plata, and we found this gem, the photos are accurate, and we were surprised by how big our room was. The shower was very "high tech" with hot water. There was a nice little pool in the shared area. Breakfast was very good, and hosts were very accommodating. This is also one of the only places in the Dominican Republic where we had solid WiFi. There is a very large super market very close, and some restaurants nearby.

Offering a garden and sea view, Turquoise B&B is located in Willemstad, 1.7 km from Playa Marichi and 1.2 km from Queen Emma Bridge. Sidney, the host, will make you feel you are in home. The accommodation has everything that you need for a really comfortable stay. The breakfast was awesome too and having the recommendations of the host was great in order to better plan our days.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, De Octopus is a recently renovated bed and breakfast located in Sint Michiel, 1.9 km from Blue Bay Beach. Rooms was very cute and rustic with ensuite bathroom with garden (how beautiful!). You have everything you need. Comfortable bed, mosquito net, fan... There is a pool also, though small, it's new and clean and perfect to cool off or relax with a beer. The owners looked after us and are super friendly. The Breakfast we had was also very tasty with fresh fruit yogurt cereals and nuts, eggs with bacon, fresh juice, and good coffee. WiFi worked fine, location is north of the city therefore well located to explore the beaches of the north, but close enough to go for dinner in the old town in the evening. Overall, incredible value for money, and enjoyed very much our few days there.

Set in Lucea in the Hanover region, Blue Paloma Bed & Breakfast has a patio. This bed and breakfast features a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. I loved how beautifully furnished the space was. This is my second time at the property and I can't help but marvel at the ambiance.

Featuring city views, Junzi is located in Ceiba, around 37 km from El Yunque Rainforest. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Very small, friendly hostel! Great place!

Located in La Parguera, within 16 km of Porta Coeli Religious Art Museum and 28 km of Guanica Dry Forest, Casa Bonita Inn provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property as... This place was actually the best in the whole island where we stayed. The whole place was beautiful, sparkling clean, i felt like Alice in wonderland :) the only bad thing was that we couldnt stay longer because or our schedule. I really recommend this place to everybody, Lily is an angel, she waited for us with everything ready to celebrate our honeymoon. I really really wish to go back to her place, Highly recommended :)
