Breakfast was a delicious start of the day, local ingredients, homemade jam etc. We will gladly return to this beautiful place where we felt like at home.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Le 30 is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Troistorrents, 29 km from Train station Montreux. A dream of an escape to Troistorrents - well connected on the trainline to Champery and the bus to Morgins. Peaceful surroundings - from deer in the garden, to watching sunset behind the Dents Blanches from the hot tub - every detail has been thought of, and all with a touch of luxury. Fiona was so welcoming to us, and was very helpful with suggestions for dinner and transport connections. The rooms are delightful - modern take on traditional chalet rustic - gorgeous hot shower and comfy bed. We had our own entrance which meant we could come and go. I highly recommend Fiona's breakfast (fresh pastries, bread, jams, fruit and yoghurt). Can't wait to come back - and next time I hope to stay longer!

Situated in Ayent, in a historic building, 11 km from Sion, Mayen2003 Ayent Anzère is a guest house with a garden and barbecue facilities. This place is a gem. The building and rooms are beautiful . The kitchen is well equipped. The host is very welcoming and happy to chat about things to see / do in the area (if you speak French, otherwise you may need some help from Google translate). And the location, while far from Sion, is close to some good hiking trails along the Bisse d'Ayant or Clavau. For the price, this place is a deal.

Bnb la Péniche, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Evolène, 26 km from Sion, 44 km from Crans-sur-Sierre, as well as 34 km from Mont Fort. The breakfast was fine with lots of different things to choose from. The owner was always present and ready to serve and help in any way. She was also attentive and asking if I was on a special diet since I brought my own cereals and yoghurt. The location was very good, centered but not crowding, close to restaurants and other facilities. It's on a farm that you can visit if you like.
