Schönegg and Spycher are 2 B&B houses located in the heart of Brienz. The two buildings are right next to each other and offer a view of Lake Brienz.

Most rooms look out towards the Giessbach Falls, Brienz, Interlaken and Iseltwald. Some rooms offer a private bathroom and a seating area. Everything perfect!! Super clean, amazing view and location, beds comfortable, and the cabin is really cozy and beautiful, all services were available and working well

All guest room at the Schönegg guest house feature typical Alpine-style furniture. The view from the panoramic terrace was amazing. Although during our stay it was cold and raining but you have the option to have free breakfast on the terrace. The terrace and breakfast area is open 24/7 so can even bring your own food from outside and have it sitting on the terrace. The breakfast was limited but it had all neccessary items that can get you going until lunch. The reception and all other staff was super nice. Reception is not available 24/7 so kindly email them if you are arriving late night like us. They will keep the room keys in the post box outside.

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. All rooms come with a private bathroom. A lovely little inn in the middle of cow fields, perfect location for a visit to the Trauffer museum (highly recommend, our nearly 7-year-old daughter loved it) and Ballenberg. The staff and manager were exceptional, and made us feel like home. I'd suggest requesting a room on the backside of the hotel to have a view of the fields. This was my daughter's favorite accomodations (we stayed in 7 different places on our trip). We will definitely be back.

The atmosphere here is simply unbeatable, and it felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and that feeling lasted throughout our entire stay. The cozy ambiance of the guesthouse created the perfect setting for relaxation and being in nature-filled area. We found ourselves spending evenings in the amazing restaurant, sharing stories, and enjoying the warm, inviting atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home. The staff were the true stars of our experience. Their hospitality and attention to detail were remarkable. They anticipated our needs and were always ready to assist with a smile. It was evident that they genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment during our stay. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a place where the atmosphere is cozy and warm, and where the staff make you feel as comfortable as if you were at home, this is the perfect destination.
