20 km from Australia Zoo, "On Burgum Pond" Cottages is a recently renovated property set in Maleny and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The location and setting of the Kookuburra Cottage was superb as we overlooked the pond and could watch all the birds - amazing view. Nice and handy to Maleny which was worth a visit in itself. Our hosts supplied us with a marvellous hamper which basically fed us for the two days we were there. The cottage was very spacious and well appointed. We literally wanted for nothing. Our accommodation far exceeded our expectation.

It was totally self contained, secluded and overlooked a pond which had ducks visit every couple of days. If you want relaxation, comfort and care this is a place to go to. Paul and Gail are the most welcoming and caring hosts.

Beautiful area up in the Gold Coast hinterlands! Our room was nicely appointed with everything we needed. Our hosts Cheryl and Erick were friendly and welcoming & gave great suggestions for things to see/do in the area. Loved all the nice touches,treats and decor. Enjoyed the continental breakfast too!

We loved everything, from Andy’s kind and warm welcome, the delicious cake waiting for us upon arrival, the great and plentiful breakfast, feeding the wallabies and kangaroos, spotting the shy possums and birds, the spotlessly clean room, to the peace and quiet of the location.

Situated within 28 km of Australia Zoo and 31 km of Aussie World, Mitta Glen GuestHouse offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Flaxton. Everything was perfect! This is an amazing house and Deana is the best host ever. Great breakfasts, well appointed rooms and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. Cannot recommend more, you have to stay here.
