Jacqui and Tim were exceptional hosts, the full breakfast absolutely delicious and the accommodations charming and fully functional. French Bay House is a little piece of art, beautifully restored. We stayed for two nights so met a few different people each morning and exchanged travel and life stories. we would return in a heartbeat.

Jane was very hospitable and kind. Her house is basically purposebuilt and perfect for a short stay, and she adds her magic to it!

It’s as described: fully self-contained; amazingly quiet and beautiful setting; comfortable and clean. Despite being ‘off-the- grid’, the bathroom was brilliant and I never had a problem with cell phone signal etc. Furnishings and fittings - including a robe that actually fit me - were pretty luxurious. The owner, Ken, went above and beyond to support my visit - including dropping me down to town one day. Town is a walkable 40-50mins - even at my plodding pace - but it’s up a very steep hill on the way back. It would be a walker’s paradise - if I was a walker - tracks off everywhere! Stars have to be seen to be believed.

The hut is up high on a mountain with views to the sea. We had the local geese and sheep pass by during the afternoon. There are lovely walks well marked to follow. In the evening it was very quiet.

Very friendly hosts. Light-pollution free environment. Location was very private. Great natural views towards the bay and the sunset right out the window. Bed was comfortable. Free cookies were delicious. Torches were useful.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Alison and Ross were excellent hosts and the apartment was superb with excellent views. We loved the attention to detail and appreciated the homemade treats from Alison throughout our stay. We will definitely recommend The Rectangle to our friends as we had such an enjoyable stay.
