Google maps were incredible getting us to this property - not an easy feat. It’s surrounded by old crumbling homes and you feel like you’re going wrong! Our host’s son greeted us with great English, served us tea and then showed us our beautiful room. It had four beds , very colorfully decorated. There was a sofa, small eating area and surprisingly a fridge! The room led on to a lovely terrace overlooking the interesting neighborhood. When Abdul, our lovely host, arrived, he gave us an hour long walk around the area, pointing out all the trees and fruits he’s growing - fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were both superb. Can’t recommended this place enough. It’s obviously not the four seasons but gives you a far better view of Moroccan life in a small village.

The Kasbah's beautifully designed and ran by lovely and happy people ready to help with anything and everything. The food is great, from the presentation to the taste and the right portion size. Kudos to the chef! Rooms are beautiful, comfortable, functional, and quiet. Location is perfect, sufficiently far from all surrounding noises (morning prayers included), so nothing will bother your sleep quality.

This Kasbah is amazing! You will have to drive a little bit further in the valley of Roses but it’s SO worth it. The valley is stunning! It’s situated in the heart of the Valley of Roses and has breathtaking views over the mountains. The breakfast on the terrace is something unforgettable. They have done a fantastic work regarding decoration and organization. It’s super authentic with the central dining room/salon with traditional wood heating system, traditional ornaments on the wall. The rooms are beautifully decorated, super comfortable with all modern necessities.The room still have this authentic vibe as well. Our room had amazing views over the mountains as well. We had dinner in the Kasbah and the food is delicious. The breakfast was excellent as well. A true hidden gem in the Valley of Roses! Highly recommended!

This is probably one of the best. We arrived in sunset went through the lobby outside, and then the view just came at us. wow. Ahmed was really friendly and walked with us around the property and showed us the room which was really spacious and with the most amazing balcony I ever had. Everything about this place is cute. it is well decorated, the structure is authentic built on top of the hill and has a really nice garden. we just loved it!

This place is just superb! Abdil and his family have taken great care in building the house using only traditional materials and building techniques, and the result is outstanding. There are quirky features throughout, and everything is tastefully done. Abdil is a great host, he let us store our motorbikes inside the garden area and kindly showed us the old Kasbah in the village, which was really interesting. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, I would recommend this place 100%

The view and terrace were perfect. Very welcoming and chill atmosphere, very comfortable bed. Michael and Isabella took very good care of us from our arrival to our departure, we stayed for dinner which was very tasty and authentic.

We loved everything about our stay at Bab El Atlas: the location just above the river plantations next to an old kasbah, the quality and good taste of the house renovation, its facilities worthy of a four-star hotel, the cuisine ... and above all the kindness and warmth of Christine and Kevin, the owners. They are passionate about El Kelâat and the rose valley area, resourceful, and very welcoming. They made us feel like old friends after just one day at their maison d'hôtes! We will return soon, with plans to go hiking up the valley from their home base, hopefully with them.
