Amazing unique place to stay with extremely friendly owners and staff. The breakfast is heavenly. We got the 'family flat' which has 3 rooms and was perfect for our family of 5. Really gorgeous and special place to stay. Thank you so much.

The whole trip was lovely. The hotel was spotless, the location and parking were great, the hoteliers were very friendly and offered lots of good advice concerning restaurants, and town parking etc.

I've found wonderful staff, a comfortable room, clean and warm. I've also have lunch and dinner in the Restaurant, I've really appreciate the food, fabulous! i Strongly suggest Gilbey's! And I hope to come back again!

The beds were comfortable, and the owner was very nice and hospitable. Breakfast was great, with several cooked options in addition to continental breakfast options. The place was very clean, and the overall décor was charming.

The Winning Post is a charming country pub. My room was spacious, as was the en-suite. I had a room on the ground floor which is what I had requested. The manager was very friendly and offered assistance if I needed it. I ate in the restaurant and the meal was very good. I stayed here because it is about half an hour from Heathrow, and I was flying overseas after my stay.

We were upstairs and check in was extremely easy. Car park is only a few hundred meters away. Pay attention to the listed times on the pay station. Room is very well appointed and has a fridge, kettle, tea/coffee, biscuits. We requested a king bed and this was done. Shower pressure was good. Ample towels. Would recommend.

The proprietor was very friendly and he cares about the comfort of his guests. When we booked in our room was very warm, seeing we were hot when we came down he said he would sort out a big fan for when we got back. The fan was there and on when we returned!! :-)) . The ensuite was excellent with shower gel dispenser and soap.. and the room clean, beds very comfy, slept well. Breakfast was whenever we wanted to go down to the Cafe. Loved the warm, friendly relaxed atmosphere. Seemed popular with locals too. Carpark parking and we were told we could leave our car there while we went into the town centre after checking out no problem. They were also happy to help with a slightly later booking in than listed to help us. Very accommodating and customer friendly. A practical simple economic place to stay. Not fancy, but everything you need. Bus stop just outside and 8 min trip into town. Lovely stay. Thanks!
