Boasting garden views, Cranberry Cottage offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 23 km from University of Oxford. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the bed and breakfast free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is set 29 km from Notley Abbey.

This lovely accommodation exceeded our expectations! Having arrived in the dark we managed to get a glimpse of the front room. At the front door we were greeted by the lovely hosts, Sue and Brendan who took us through. The house is simply unique and very beautiful. It has 3 floors (and a basement for the hosts use only). The front room had a very home-from-home feel. Sue showed us the kitchen which was amazing - wooden beams and original wooden doors but also a very modern feel to it. She then took us up to our room which was in the roof of house so it had a low ceiling and a small window. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean and tidy. We had a little heater in the room which came in handy during the night and morning especially because of the recent cold spell. Breakfast was superb, the table was laid out for us complete with homemade bread (which was a wonderful treat) and condiments, cereals, yoghurts, juice and hot drinks. It was just a case of help ourselves. We have friends in Wallingford and every so often meet up with them for evenings out. It's always been difficult in the past to find reasonable accommodation but not any more, this is now our go to place and with hosts like Sue and Brendan we couldn't have found anywhere better.

It is set 35 km from Cliveden House and features private check-in and check-out. The property is non-smoking and is situated 33 km from Notley Abbey.

Really nice setting, very rural, very clean and had everything we needed. It was comparable to the cost of a premiere inn or Travelodge but in our opinions so much better quality in terms of facilities and comfort.

Even closer, the pretty market town of Wallingford sits by the Thames around 4 miles away, and has a museum, theatre and 17th-century town hall as well as many scenic walking routes.

Host went above and beyond to welcome us and made us feel comfortable. Will stop again.

Situated in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, in picturesque Dorchester, The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire is one of Britain’s oldest coaching inns. The inn offers hearty breakfasts and a traditional restaurant.

The cosy bedrooms each have a private bathroom and elegant decor. All rooms have a TV and free Wi-Fi access and most have period features and bespoke furnishings.

The George in Dorchester is a delightful and charming old Coaching Inn beautifully restored with interesting quirky artefacts on the walls. The bar is just what a bar should be and the dining room is elegant. Breakfast was very good and ALL the staff were fabulous with excellent friendliness and efficiency. But the really outstanding feature was the room I stayed in. I have some disability with mobility issues so I was put in Room 114 on the ground floor which was large enough for a lot of luggage and a wheelchair. The bathroom was fully equipped for disability with 8 hand grab rails perfectly positioned and the shower was really safe for someone with disability, as was the dining room toilet! This was a far better than most hospitals and they should really be congratulated. If in the area I shall definitely stay there again. Overall, the experience was better that a famous central London Hotel, a well known private club and a famous Thames side resort which we stayed at on this trip. Very well done!

We loved the beautiful location at the edge of the water. Our hostess Annette was genuinely interested and very helpful providing us with insider tips for places to visit and a very nice breakfast. We were looking for a relaxing retreat and found exactly that. We gladly would come again at any time. Don‘t change a thing!

This is a really lovely pub to stay at. The room was perfect - enough space and a mixture of olde pub charm and quirky disco design. Even though it was upstairs at a pub it was wonderfully quiet all three nights we were there. They had just introduced a new menu and we had the choice of delicious ‘gastro’ dishes or old favourites like fish n’ chips. Staff were really lovely and the continental brekky was finished with a fine cafe latte. Benson is a lovely village and easy to get to by Oxford Bus line. Would love to go back

Charming hosts who were both helpful and friendly. Superb continental breakfast taken outside in the sunny garden, quite something in March! A pleasant enough manageable stroll to the town centre. The location was pretty quiet and the property itself had delightfully tranquil feel.
