The rooms are very bright with uplifting light coming in even on cloudy/rainy days on account of the very high ceilings. Although quite a historic facility, it appears to be very well maintained and clean. The hostess is also a lovely person and kind reference for any and all things from breakfast to sights in the area. The dining room where breakfast is served is equally appealing and the food was superb - Scottish Breakfast all the way is highly recommended. Overall the value proposition for such a quality stay is very good.
