A lovely little gem, comfortable and well equipped. Mike, as a host, is wonderful, he called me to make sure I could find the accommodation as it can be a little hard to spot in the dark then once I arrived he carried my bags from the car for me and showed me around the place.

Providing free WiFi, parking on-site and a garden, the recently renovated property of Sandford Meadow Guest House, offers rooms in Oxford, 8.9 km from University of Oxford and 21 km from Blenheim Palace. The property features garden views and is 31 km from Notley Abbey and 45 km from Newbury Racecourse. The accommodation provides full-day security and luggage storage space for guests.

The owner (Ric) was very kind and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely rooms, very clean, felt safe, and instructions were very easy to follow. Mimi (the cat) is very gentle and sweet. She only has access to the kitchen and outside, unless you let her in to the rest of the house. Naturally, we loved her so we let her roam freely through the house (when there were no other guests around) and she even spent one of the nights with us! Honestly such a great stay and would so easily recommend and go back. For breakfast, you're a 3 minute walk from Proof Social Bakehouse (pricey but AMAZING pastries, check opening times on google maps), and 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to Abingdon or Oxford (about 15mins to get to either). Thank you!! Luis & Rick

Great location for visiting Abingdon and Didcot amongst other towns in a small village with a nice restaurant and pub. Lovely property set back off the street so it’s very quiet and private. The annexe is very clean and has lovely fresh bedding and decor. Nice treats upon arrival - milk, biscuits and wine. And tea, coffee and sugar plus oils and seasonings available for use at the property. Everything’s been thought of.

We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our room in a quiet courtyard at the back of the pub. Perfect for dog owners - no stairs to negotiate. The room was large and well appointed. On booking.com it said there was a kettle but there was much more - a full tray of tea and coffee plus a hospitality tray with biscuits & chocolates (see photo). The bed was comfortable but springy!
