The location and the apartment were stunning. Lovely hiking trails to the Brocken and we loved watching the steam train at the Schierke Bahnhof. Very good Restaurants in the area with delicious food to choose from. Our hosts made sure that everything was ready for us when we arrived.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The apartment was well equipped, clean and bigger than expected. The location of the apartment is central in Schierke. Everything can be reached by foot: restaurants, supermarket, tourist attractions. We came here specifically to hike, and not once did we have to use our car to drive to specific starting locations. A lot of great locations including the Brocken and Wurmberg can be hiked to directly from the apartment as they are in relative close proximity. The host was also very friendly and helpful. Picking up the keys was quick and easy. All in all a very pleasant place to stay if you want to discover the Harz region. If we make another trip to the Harz region, we will definitely be staying here again.

The place was super quiet. The breakfast was very good, tons of options, the staff upon my advance notice even arranged for gluten-free rolls for my wife. The place is a good start for hiking in Harz (e.g. when going to Brocken).
