Located close to Öland Bridge, this hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking plus Sweden’s largest timber-framed restaurant. All newly renovated rooms have a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. Breakfast and location was so great!

This hotel is just 5 minutes' drive from both Kalmar Central Station and Kalmar Airport. Guests enjoy free WiFi internet and pool and sauna access. I booked this hotel mainly for Ironman Kalmar where all hotels closest to the venue where fully booked and if available would cost a fortune and Scandic Kalmar was the available option. I brought my entire family (wife + 2 kids) and adding the bike case as well, the room was not that spacious. Location wise, the hotel is 3-4km away from the Ironman race village but can easily reach by bus. Bus stop is just a few meters away from the hotel. There is a 24x7 convenience store next to it so you can easily buy stuff as and when needed even for odd hours. Buffet breakfast is very typical so I wouldn't highly rate it, it was the same type of menus during our 6 days stay at this hotel. Staff are welcoming and very helpful whenever we asked for directions.

Actually one big living room, bedroom with large indoor bathroom and open kitchen which used to be the gymnasium in this former school building. One large bed with two mattresses and two extra beds in the connecting changing rooms. Very nice views, outside lawn and free parking space available. Lovely owners. As they live in the same building the gymnasium is the only room available. Please be aware no breakfast available. Dog cookies and food bowls for when you bring your dogs. The owners have a couple of lovely dogs.

The shared kitchen and facilities was great, The room and bathroom was clean as well as spaciuous enough for two persons. There was enough WC around the hotel.
