The house is secluded enough to provide privacy, but close to downtown Kajaani. The upper floor is cozy, clean and comfortable, and the entire place is full of art, books and poetry. Breakfast was amazing! We were served eggs, ham and cheese, different vegetables, jams, chocolate, bread, porridge with wonderful toppings like berries and bananas and of course coffee and juice. Sirkka and Aki, the hosts, are kind, welcoming and warm. They go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, and are great conversation partners.

I really didn't want to leave. Lunch and dinner in the downstairs restaurant were outstanding. Something I would have expected to find in a big city.
