This island is Christian but as a French Muslim girl travelling alone I felt like in my second home really !! With my family 😍 The food was also very very very delicious ! The water cristal blue ! Dear James and family, Thank you so much for making our stay in Batanta so comfortable. We will always remember your kindness, our adventure at the waterfall and swimming with manta rays 🫶🏻 The home stay is exactly as described, really comfortable bed, cold water to shower and wonderful panorama. In front of the stay there is a coral reef where you can snorkel. We saw nurse sharks, stingrays, thousands of fish and beautiful coral formations. Somedays also dolphins visited us. If you wish you can do other activities like going to the nearby village which is one of the last traditionally built one in raja ampat. We went with James to swim with manta rays which was a great success as we saw two circling around for at least half an hour. Also, there are two waterfalls with a beautiful mangrove forest which is 30 mins by boat, we swam there and saw a bit of the jungle. The food was excellent, we were really happy to try local fish. It always had enough veggies, rice and egg tortillas. Even our vegetarian friends were satisfied. For the afternoon coffee we got freshly baked cakes. PRO tips for travelers: - Bring your own snorkeling equipment - Don’t litter and take your trash back with you to Waisai. At the port you can throw it away. - Be mindful about water usage - Use biodegradable hygiene products if possible - They don’t speak much English but for us it made it the experience even more authentic. if you need get an offline translation app

We had an unforgettable stay at this homestay! Luky, our host, was absolutely wonderful, he took us on so many activities and was an excellent guide, always making sure we had the best experience. His whole family was incredibly kind and welcoming. The homestay itself was beautifully decorated with care, and they even prepared a mattress on the balcony so we could relax facing the stunning view. We were warmly welcomed with fresh coconuts upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The meals were varied and absolutely delicious every day, and everything was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. We truly had a magical time and felt at home. I can’t recommend their kindness, hospitality, and the comfort of this homestay enough!

This homestay on Besir island is ideally located near several interests spots in Raja Ampat. The place is calm, only two cabins on the water, connected to a village full of charm. The utilities are on the beach, near the owner's house. It's very clean and has everything required to answer basic needs. Regarding the rooms, mosquito net on the bed, fan, electricity at night, blankets, hammock, sunbed and basic furnitures. All the meals (included in the reservation) are served to your cabin, they vary and are prepared by an great cook! So everything is tasteful and good. No connection except if you get a SIM card on arrival at Sorong's airport but deconnection is great. It's easy to communicate with the owner who speaks well English (rare in Raja Ampat) and he tries his best for you to have the best stay possible. Him and his family are super nice and welcoming while respecting your privacy. I came with a friend and we stayed 3 full days, we had an amazing time there and we can only recommend this place. All the activities we've done through them were memorable, we had a lot of fun. Have a good holiday there!

The house reef is truly beautiful, the accommodation is spacious, clean and super comfortable. We were fed really well and they gave us great opportunities for trips to see mantas! Thank you so much for all your help getting us to Fam, we appreciated it so much! We won't ever forget this place.

We had a great stay at Shady Sea and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The location is calm and quiet, with only two spacious bungalows right on the waterfront – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The bathroom facilities were spotless and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. It was also super easy to organise boat trips directly from the property. Overall, a fantastic experience!

I choosed this Hotel for my last nights in Raja Ampat, because there is AC, Wifi and it's close to the ferry port. Room was great! Bed comfortable, AC works great, nice view from the terrace. Wifi stable. All staff members were super friendly, nice and helpful. Food was amazing, best I had in RA. They even did my laundry for free. The beach is a dream and near the jetty from another Resort close by, there are amazing corals, very good snorkeling opportunities. Area is secluded, very quiet, just a few other Homestays, nice kids all around. Tours to Kali Biru or Birds of paradise are available. I can not say thank you enough for these great days.

The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.
