Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived we was welcomed in to the home by jannis, showed around, he recommended places to visit and eat in rovaniemi. He provided food for breakfast which was lovely. Will definitely be returning here.

Amazing place, comfortable, had everything that we needed. The place is very well-maintained with a clean and organized atmosphere that reflects attention to detail. We did XC Ski all days, bond fire, and many others activities that are available there. Huskies tour is a must go!!! Jaana and Seppo are super nice, we’re glad that we met them.

Offering a private sauna, Villas Karhunpesä is located in Saariselka in the Lapland Region. Ivalo is 26 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Fabulous location, stunning views, excellent facilities, very clean and plenty of space for 8 of us. We particularly enjoyed the open plan area for relaxing in the evening. Glass frontage was lovely, drying room was so useful and perfect number of bathroom/toilet facilities for all of us. Host was lovely, excellent communication and patience when we were late arriving due to airport delays. We would love to return again.

Even in the cold weather, it warms up well and is very cozy. Amazingly, I was able to use the hot tub even in -35°C. Everything was perfectly clean, and the host was very communicative and friendly. She took us on a number of fantastic excursions, including a home-cooked Sámi dinner, snowmobiling, and ice fishing, and she is very knowledgable about Sámi culture. She made sure we had all the proper gear for staying warm and took good care of us. The cabin is only a few feet from a lake and also a short walk away from a resort where you can get meals. In the winter, the frozen lake is a perfect spot for viewing aurora. The drive to get there from Ivalo is also very beautiful. If you are willing to drive a little, there are some nice villages and museums in the area as well. I would definitely come back. Thank you, Teija, for a wonderful stay.
