The villa was very big and what I loved the most was the room and bathroom were separated. Hot water shower was also a winner because we had heater issues in 2 hotels which we stayed previously in Kandy and Ella. Rooms were clean and just outside our villa was a big compound where we play with the hotel pet dog - Chase. Amazing little guy, he made our stay very special.

The Wild Lotus is a slice of paradise! A beautiful estate with a lot of quiet and serenity surrounding it. The staff (headed by the awesome manager Gamini) was extremely attentive, respectful, friendly, and helpful. We went on a 3/4 day Safari with Sodu, an exceptional guide who was calm, informative, and easy to chat with. He is extremely knowledgeable about the national park and the animals, so we had the best time watching an elephant family taking a bath! The Wild Lotus also offers other activities like fishing or a bike ride. But we mainly enjoyed taking a swim, relaxing in the hammock, and drinking coconuts! The food we had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was absolutely amazing, too. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Wild Lotus & hope we’ll be back in the future!

Lovely place to stay, a super friendly family runs the place. Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka! All the food is freshly made and delicious. The room and pool were great too.

Excellent, family-run resort with just 4 bungalows in a beautiful garden with a superb swimming pool & solarium area. The bungalow is lovely & spacious with a large bedroom, a huge bathroom and a lovely patio overlooking the pool for you to relax on. The bed was big and super comfy. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. The AC was effective and the WiFi worked well for us. The breakfasts were very tasty and we ate there twice in the evening, both times enjoying some excellent home cooked food. We really loved the quiet out of town location, but a tuk tuk into Tissa' takes less that 10 minutes. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and always with a smile on their faces, especially Niranji and Kumarra. They were also able to arrange a safari to Yala at a reasonable price - we had a great driver and the whole 6 seat jeep to ourselves. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and we would certainly recommend staying here.

Everything is fairly new. Large sitting area for chatting with friends. We went to Yala Safari with Udara, we liked that our crew did not rush, but captured the moments. Udara is attentive and sincere. Shares his knowledge about birds.

This is the most fantastic place built around the trees and natural habitat on the outskirts of Yala national park. Everything was provided, the food was incredible and we were given a trip to the fishing village on the beach for sunset in their buggy with Suraj and Tilina. It was like a mini safari. We saw crocodiles, deer, tortoises wild boar and on the beach the boys showed us where the elephants had been earlier in the day, footprints still showing in the sand. Suraj and Tilina were both young but so knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us breakfast at 4am for our Yala safari and we can't thank them, and the manager enough for making us so welcome. Will definitely stay again if we return to Sri Lanka.
