Loved the helpful host, Beverly. She corresponded with us prior to our trip to help us plan all our adventuress. The cottage is very well appointed, warm and cozy. The location is great, close to the north and middle of the island to explore all the attractions.

The pod was beautifully decorated and comfortable with lots of little thoughtful items stocked for our comfort. We found the location of the pod to be very private with a fenced off garden and pond area that we enjoyed very much. Great location and would highly recommend.

The house was a perfect representation of old meets new with lots of charm and character! It was very well provisioned, with all you need and more in the kitchen, additional chargers for all mobile phones, a smart tv, Alexa’s all around, lots of cleaning supplies, board games (including a Lewis chess board!), books, just everything you might need for your stay and more! There were lots of interesting ornaments around the property giving it a splash of an authentic traditional home, with all we would use in a modern home. We were provided with a coffee machine (including pods), ground beans and french press, teas bags and a lovely basket of Scottish goodies including, porridge, jam, chocolate, biscuits etc. The location was ideal. It was a short walk from beautiful beaches and the famous Butt of Lewis. There were plenty of places to eat/drink including a quirky cafe. We enjoyed watching the lambs running around the Croft across the road. There were sea views from the property on a clear day and a lovely window at the top of the stairs with a day bed to take in the views. The WiFi was great and there was good data and reception in the area. The host was very kind and helpful and which made our stay!

The location was magnificent. John and Jacky were best of hosts. Kind hardworking scottish farmers. Jacky an amazing cottage weaver.The bothy was A great place to get away from worldly materialism... they supplied all basics of camp stove cooking . Composting toilet and a lovely pete fire. Very cosy with a nice comfortble bed. I felt warm and safe and remote. Away from mainstream society. Great space inside and out. Perfect fenced garden for the dogs and a great view too! Muriel was great and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a lovely welcome pack in the house which was such a great gesture.
