Located in Auckland, Three Palms Lodge offers modern rooms with free WiFi and parking. Hunters Plaza, located next door can provide some retail therapy. I had a wonderful stay. Clean, safe, and just around the corner to shopping areas and restaurants in Papatoetoe.

Half Moon Bay Motel offers free private parking and well-equipped studios and apartments. It is located just 5 minutes' walk from the Half Moon Bay Ferry Terminal. Very friendly staff. Location of my room was spot on. Great for a stroll around the boats and beach.

Surrounded by picturesque gardens, Sun Valley Motel offers free WiFi in public areas. It is within 2 minutes’ walk of a range of shopping and dining options. The rooms are big and offer all you need for an overnight stay. The bed is big and everything is very clean. Yet there is a bit of a old smell from the carpet. The parking is right in front of your room, which is very handy. The self check in is supposed to work smoothly, but as we booked last moment we didn't get the code in time and had to wait for about half an hour in front to get a new code. They were nice and let us check out 30min later.
