Situated on Rennesøy Island by the Brimse Fjord, Fjordbris Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and brightly decorated rooms and apartments with flat-screen TVs. Stavanger city centre is a 30-minute drive away. The host very kindly upgraded us and provided breakfast in the fridge due to staff shortage. Very responsive. Advised on restaurant nearby which had the best cod and mushy peas in an understated but beautiful location.

Smarthotel Forus is located next to the Kvadrat Shopping centre in Sandnes, 15 minutes’ drive from central Stavanger and Stavanger Airport Sola. It offers free parking and room with free Wi-Fi. I liked the simple decor it had and it suited my needs perfectly for the short stay that it was.

Just 3 km from Stavanger and 15 minutes’ walk from Lake Mosvannet, this eco-friendly hotel provides bright, air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs. The hotel is associated with the hospital which means there is food, gifts, sweets etc for sale and a cafe open late which provides good basic meals in the reception area. There is parking underneath for 185Nkronor per day. The room is basic but roomy and comfortable and the shower is lovely. You can catch the bus nearby into town. Run often and we bought a 24 hr ticket. We enjoyed our stay and would go again.
