This is without doubt the best hotel of my several weeks long trip to Norway and back again. I discovered it accidentally and at first just came to see the lighthouse and have a dinner. But spending some time there made me think that I actually want to return for a night at this place. And oh boy, it exceeded all my expectations! It was two orders of magnitude better than hotels twice the price. I'm not sure if I've ever met so friendly and helpful staff who really made the whole difference - it felt more like staying at a friend's place rather than at a hotel. The food was great, the bed - one of the best I've ever slept on. And it's a pity I had time only for one night, I already miss this place and want to come back. Oh, and of course - the location and the opportunity to climb up an operating lighthouse! Also, please, pretty please, make it possible to come there for the nothern lights!

Friendly and helpful hotel staff, with quick check-in. Clean and well-equipped rooms. A good, varied breakfast is available. Highly recommended.

Try your luck at popular king crab fishing while staying at Scandic Vadsø. Enjoy the marine environment and beautiful scenery, combined with Vadsø's vivid cultural scene and many festivals. Staff at the reception was really helpful and took care of us like professionals. And with a big smile! Room was better than excepted.
