My room was beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space for a solo traveler. The onsen was lovely as well, well-equipped and clean. Breakfast was amazing and served right away upon arrival. Regarding the location, there are plenty of convenience stores within 10 minutes of walk away. Also close by are two museums that close around 5 PM, so I would recommend arriving early to the town.
