He carried my suitcase up to the 3rd floor when I checked in and insisted on carrying it back down when I checked out. The hostel was so clean and the kitchen was equipped perfectly to cook a nice meal. I really loved staying at this hostel. Thank you to the really kind, amazing staff that made this stay really pleasant. Also a perfect location! Right in the town centre and a 30second walk to the station!

Exceeded my expectations and was gutted we were only here for the night. Brilliant location in Nara - close to both stations. The facilities were really good with a washing machine and drying rack. The bathroom was a lovely size. The place was perfect for us and our son. Loved the pyjamas!

This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

It far exceeded my expectations. What a lovely host. I was greeted warmly and given special attention to help me with my following day's plans to walk the Yamanobe Road. The Ryokan itself is perfectly situated close to Omiwa Shrine and the start of the journey. My tatami floor room had two parts, so it was not only spacious but beautifully and traditionally arranged with tremendous grace. The garden was right outside my room, immaculate and beautiful. I was treated to an excellent private hot spa bath in the evening, making it just the perfect stay.

Hanaya Tokubei terletak di Tenkawa, di daerah Dorogawa Onsen. Mempunyai taman, ryokan 3-bintang ini mempunyai bilik berhawa-dingin dengan WiFi percuma. Very friendly and helpful staff, the breakfast and dinner were tasty and plenty. Cosy big room and the ryokan is very tidy. Great hikes nearby.

A 5-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Train Station, Tsubakiso is an 85-years old Japanese townhouse with a lovely garden and free Wi-Fi throughout. The room is super nice, you can experience the traditional of Japanese room.
