The breakfast buffet was undisputedly the BEST that we had in Iceland (and we stayed in a couple of luxurious places too). The farm animals are cute and everything creates such an inviting and wholesome atmosphere. :)

Hotel Hamar’s rooms feature minimalist modern design, heated floors and a private patio. All have private bathrooms with showers. It was open, there was nice view of mountains in the background, private and the modern but cozy design.

Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options, especially the delicious pastries. Very quiet and clean room. Highly recommended.

Hótel Bifröst is set in a small university town. Its bright and spacious rooms offer private bathrooms and views of the surrounding lava fields and mountains. Hotel seems like it’s very new. The room and bathroom were big and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the employees were friendly. You can see the northern lights from the hotel so that’s a bonus.

Each simply decorated room at Hotel Latrabjarg has a work desk and private bathrooms. Some have a seating area and sea views of the Ölfus Harbour. The hotel Latrabjarg was exceptional in every way. Karl is such a kind host. He greeted us when we arrived and offered a dinner of the evening (for an additional price). The menu looked great but we were excited to go to the bird cliffs so we declined. The hotel is about a 30 minute drive to the bird cliffs. We did see numerous birds including puffins!! The breakfast the next morning was a wonderful spread of cold foods (breads, cereals, cheese, fruit etc) , including homemade museli by Karl's wife and even a plant based milk (almond) for me. Everything was just wonderful and I highly recommend staying here.

This award-winning, eco-friendly hotel is on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, 6 km from Iceland’s famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano. It offers free Wi-Fi, along with hiking, horse riding and glacier tours. I had aproblem with my car at Hellnar, both of my car tyres went flat. The staff of foss hotel Hellnar helped me a lot. Very curtsious and helpful staff.
