Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Very cosy hotel with nice and comfortable room. Great ambience in the hotel lobby that comes with a nice snowy view in winter was exceptionally nice to hang out. Our room faces the town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this area of Iceland!

Beautifully located in a forest area by Lake Lagarfljot, 25 km south of Egilsstadir, is the Hotel Hallormsstadur, close to hiking trails and various recreational opportunities. Excellent location with picturesque views, friendly staff and very accommodating to keep the hot tub open till 11 pm for us.
